Immunity is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Clairo, released on August 2, 2019, by Fader Label. The album was co-produced by Clairo and Rostam Batmanglij, formerly of Vampire Weekend.

Background

After the release of her first mainstream extended play, Diary 001 , Clairo released several songs and collaborations. In 2018, she wrote a song for the teen drama film Skate Kitchen , called "Heaven". She also collaborated with Cuco and SG Lewis. On February 1, 2019, Clairo was featured on the lead single for Wallows' debut studio album, Nothing Happens . On May 24, 2019, Clairo released the lead single for her album, "Bags", and announced the album release for August.

Composition

Immunity has been described as a soft rock, [1] bedroom pop, [2] electropop, [3] and indie pop record. [4]

Tour

In September 2019, Clairo embarked on a North American tour playing 31 shows at venues such as Metro Chicago and Paradise Rock Club. The tour was supported by Beabadoobee and Hello Yello and ended in Boston in November 2019. [5]

"Pretty Girl" is a song by American singer-songwriter Clairo. It was first included on the compilation album The Le Sigh Vol. III, which was released through Father/Daughter Records in August 2017, and it was released as a single on August 4, 2017. It was later featured on her debut extended play, Diary 001, which was released in May of the following year through Fader Label. Its lyrics are about a past relationship in which Clairo felt compelled to alter and silence herself to be considered attractive; its lo-fi GarageBand production, consisting of a drum machine and synths, led to the song being deemed bedroom pop.

"For the Night" is a song by American rapper Pop Smoke featuring fellow American rappers Lil Baby and DaBaby, from the former's posthumous debut studio album, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon (2020) as well as the EP of the same name (2020). It was written by the artists, producers CashMoneyAP and Palaze, and additional producer Mike Dean, with more additional production credits going to Wylo and Jess Jackson. The song was released as the fourth single from the album on October 3, 2020, by Victor Victor Worldwide and Republic Records, while an extended play (EP) was released for the song a few days later.

"Fallen Fruit" is a song by New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde. The song was released as the fourth single from her third studio album, Solar Power, coinciding with the release of the album's bonus tracks to streaming services on 2 November 2021. "My Love Mine All Mine" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mitski, released as the third single from her seventh studio album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We on October 3, 2023. The song features country-influenced piano and pedal steel guitar, while its lyrics depict Mitski requesting the Moon to take her love when she dies and shine it back down to Earth.

<i>Charm</i> (Clairo album) 2024 studio album by Clairo

Charm is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Clairo, released on July 12, 2024. The follow-up to her second album, Sling (2021), it is her first self-released studio album after her previous two albums were released by Fader and Republic respectively. Clairo produced the album alongside Leon Michels with musical contributions from Nick Movshon, Homer Steinweiss, Marco Benevento, and Dave Guy, among others.
