JAM8 is a musical platform[ clarify ] founded by Indian music composer/director Pritam. The platform provides facilities up and coming musicians.[ clarification needed ] Pritam and his team supervise the young talent and some artists become part of Pritam's musical projects. [1] [2] [3]
On 9 April 2016, music composer and director Pritam announced JAM8 on Twitter. He wrote: "Just announced J.A.M 8 (Just About Music) with Kaushik-Akash, who are the first artists of my A&R Music Production platform." [4]
Their first work in mainstream Indian music was the 1920 London soundtrack, which released in 2016. They were one of the composers for the soundtrack of the film Raees in 2017. Their composition "Zaalima" was a huge hit from this album. They continued their works in Bollywood composing for the films like Behen Hogi Teri, Raabta, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, Race 3, Loveratri and recent films like 14 Phere and Helmet. They also worked in Telugu film Touch Chesi Chudu and Bengali films like Crisscross, Villain.
In June 2022, they launched their first non-soundtrack album under the name "Roposo JamRoom" by collaborating with 19 Indian background singers and 12 selected composers mentored by Pritam under Sony Music India label.

Pritam Chakraborty, also known mononymously as Pritam, is an Indian composer, instrumentalist, guitarist, music producer and singer from Kolkata, India. Graduating from FTII in Sound Engineering, he was working as an ad jingles composer, later he debuted as a co-composer in the 2001 Hindi film Tere Liye. He debuted as a solo composer with the album Dhoom. Composition of the title track of Dhoom became the first viral music of Indian film history, helped him win the Zee Cine Award for Best Track of the Year & vast acknowledgements. In a career spanning over two decades, he has composed music for more than 125 Bollywood Movies, and he has been the recipient of numerous awards, including six Filmfare Awards for Best Music Director and 4 Mirchi Music Award for Music Composer of The Year from 14 nominations. Pritam's years active in the music industry is from 2001 to present day, his labels are T-Series, Sony music india, YRF music, Eros, Saregama, Tips, Zee music company.
Harshdeep Kaur is an Indian playback singer known for her Bollywood Hindi, Punjabi, English and Sufi songs. She is popularly known as "Sufi Ki Sultana" because of her soulful Sufi renditions. After winning titles in two reality shows, Kaur established herself as a lead singer in Bollywood soundtracks. Kaur was sixteen years old when she released her first Bollywood song, "Sajna Mai Haari".

Fan is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Maneesh Sharma and co-written by Sharma and Habib Faisal. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as filmstar Aryan Khanna (protagonist) and his obsessive fan Gaurav Chandna (antagonist), who looks just like him. Gaurav beats up a rival actor to appease Aryan, but is instead punished by his idol; heartbroken, the fan plans revenge. The film also has an ensemble supporting cast.

Tubelight is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language war drama film written and directed by Kabir Khan. Produced by Salman Khan and Kabir Khan, it is set in the 1962 Sino-Indian War. It stars Salman Khan and Sohail Khan in the main roles, with Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu, Om Puri and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in supporting roles. Shah Rukh Khan appears in a cameo in the film. Jab Harry Met Sejal is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. It stars Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan in their third collaboration after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012). Pre-production of the film began in April 2015 and principal photography commenced in August 2016 in Prague, Amsterdam, Vienna, Lisbon and Budapest.

The 10th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best music professionals of Hindi language Indian films of 2017. The ceremony was held on 28 January 2018 at the Dome @ National Sports Club of India, Mumbai and was hosted by Sonu Nigam. There were many performances, including those by Shreya Ghoshal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur and Neha Bhasin. A musical tribute was given to A. R. Rahman for completing his 25 years in the Indian cinema. Jab Harry Met Sejal won a leading five awards including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Hawayein". The show was broadcast on 18 March 2018 on Zee TV.
Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language romance drama comedy film directed by Ratnaa Sinha and written by Kamal Pandey. Produced by Vinod and Manju Bachchan, the film features Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda, alongside K. K. Raina, Alka Amin, Vipin Sharma, Govind Namdev, Navni Parihar, Nayani Dixit, and Manoj Pahwa.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is the soundtrack album composed by Pritam, with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya for the 2016 Hindi romance film of the same name directed by Karan Johar. The soundtrack album marks first collaboration of Johar and Pritam, although the latter had previously composed for the Dharma Productions' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. It is based on the film's theme on unrequited love, consisting situational numbers portraying the emotions of characters Ayan, Saba, Alizeh and Ali.

Dunki is the soundtrack to the 2023 film of the same name directed by Rajkumar Hirani and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani amongst several others. The album featured eight songs composed by Pritam and one song by Shekhar Ravjiani. The lyricists are Swanand Kirkire, IP Singh, Javed Akhtar, Irshad Kamil, Varun Grover, Kumaar and Amitabh Bhattacharya. After four of the songs were released as singles, the album was released on 20 December 2023 through the T-Series label.
