Juan Luis Barrios Nieves (born June 24, 1983) is a Mexican runner. [2] He competed in the 5000 m at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and finished seventh-eighth. He placed 14th in the same event at the 2007 and came 18th in the 10,000 metres at the 2009 World Championships.

He won silver medals in the 5000 m and 1500 metres at the 2007 Pan American Games. He has won three consecutive titles in the 1500 m at the Central American and Caribbean Games, winning in 2002, 2006 and 2010. [3] He also has a threepeat in the 5000 m in 2006, 2010 and 2014, plus he added the 10,000 metres title in 2014. He has also won gold medals on the track at the Central American and Caribbean Championships. [4]

Barrios was the inaugural winner of the NACAC Cross Country Championships in 2005 and repeated the feat the following year, in addition to taking the team gold with Mexico. [5] He made his debut over the marathon distance in March 2011, running at the LALA International Marathon in Torreon, Coahuila, and recorded a time of 2:14:20 hours. [6]

José Carlos Adán Arias is a retired Spanish long-distance runner who specialized in cross-country running. The athletics competition at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games was held at the Mayagüez Athletics Stadium in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico from July 24–30. A total of 47 events were contested, 24 by men and 23 by women, and 12 Games records were set. Also, 3 national records were set. Of the twenty-three nations that won a medal in the competition, Jamaica was the most successful, topping the table with ten golds and an overall haul of 25 medals. Mexico and Colombia were the next best performers, with seven and six golds, respectively. The hosts were fourth in the rankings with four golds and sixteen medals in all.

Dulce María Rodríguez de la Cruz is a Mexican long-distance runner who competes in track and road running events, including the marathon. A three-time Olympian for Mexico, she has also run for Mexico at the World Championships in Athletics on three occasions.

Fabiana Cristine da Silva is a Brazilian female former distance runner who competed in the 800 metres up to the half marathon. She competed six times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships and also represented her country at the 2010 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships and the 2011 Pan American Games.
