Qualification for judo
at the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad

Qualification for Judo at the 2004 Summer Olympics was based on the IJF 2003 World Judo Championships in September 2003. The top 6 men and women from each division qualify, subject to a limit of 1 judoka per National Olympic Committee ("NOC") per division. Further continental quotas (Europe 98, Africa 35, Pan-America 63, Asia 56 and Oceania 14 across both sexes and all divisions) also qualify subject to an overall limit of 1 judoka per NOC. The qualification is allocated to the athlete.

The 2011 Pan American Judo Championships was held in Guadalajara, Mexico at the CODE II Gymnasium from April 1–2, 2011. The event is being held as a test event for the 2011 Pan American Games. Also this event is one of the qualification event for the judo events at the 2011 Pan American Games.

East Asian Judo Championships is the Judo East Asian Championship organized by the Judo Union of Asia.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kim Jan-di (judoka)</span> South Korean Olympic judoka

Kim Jan-Di is a South Korean judoka. She competed in the 57 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and lost in the second round. She lost in the first round of the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. That year, she won a silver medal at the Asian Championships. She was ranked 3rd in the world for part of 2016.

Naohisa Takato is a Japanese judoka.

Oceania Judo Championships is the Judo Oceanian Championship organized by the Oceania Judo Union. Since 2022 the tournament is held together with the Pan American Judo Championships. It was renamed to the Pan American-Oceania Judo Championships.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Amandine Buchard</span> French judoka (born 1995)

Amandine Buchard is a French judoka. She represented France at the 2020 Summer Olympics winning the silver medal in the half lightweight event and a gold medal in the mixed team event. She is a third degree black belt.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Baruch Shmailov</span> Israeli judoka (born 1994)

Baruch Shmailov is an Israeli Olympic judoka. He competes in the under 66 kg weight category, and won a gold medal in the 2022 World Masters in Jerusalem. Shmailov also won a bronze in the 2017 World Masters, as well as a silver at the 2018 World Masters. As of December 2022, Shmailov was ranked #3 in -66 kg weight category. He competed for Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics, finishing in fifth place in the individual competition and winning a bronze medal in the mixed team. He has reached a high world ranking of third in 2019, 2022, and 2024. Shmailov will represent Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris in judo in the men's 66 kg event on 28 July 2024, and in the mixed team event.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jessica Klimkait</span> Canadian judoka (born 1996)

Jessica Klimkait is a Canadian Judoka who competes in the women's 57 kg category. In 2021 she became Canada's second judo world champion, defeating Momo Tamaoki of Japan in the women's lightfoot (57 kg) final at the championships in Budapest, Hungary; the win also qualified her for the Tokyo Olympic Games. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's 57 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The World Judo Juniors Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 21 years of age or less. The championships are held once every year by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. The World Juniors Championships are the only junior event awarding ranking points for the seniors world ranking list. The last edition of the championships took place in Odivelas, Portugal in 2023.

The IJF World Tour is a worldwide top-tier judo tour, organized by the International Judo Federation since 2009.

The 2022 Judo Grand Prix Almada was held in Almada, Portugal, from 28 to 30 January 2022.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Faïza Aissahine</span> Algerian judoka (born 1993)

Faiza Aissahine is a judoka who competes internationally for Algeria. She is a gold medalist at the African games.

The Judo Grand Slam tournaments are international judo tournaments held by the International Judo Federation as part of the IJF World Tour.

Boubekeur Rebahi is an Algerian, male Judo player, who played in both local and international championships. He played in Tunisia, Oran, Morocco and Belgium. He weighs 66 kg. It should be remembered that Algeria was tagged the most successful nation for African Judo Championships in 2022. Prior to that in 2021, Algerian Judo player named Fethi Nourine was banned for 10 years from competition by the International Judo Federation with his coach, Amar Benikhlef receiving 10 years ban, as well when they withdrew from facing an Israeli opponent in the second round of men's competition at the Boudakan. The duo revealed that they pulled out from the competition in support for the Palestinians.

The Pan American Judo Union (PJU) is an international organization comprising national Judo federations and associations of the Americas, and was one of five such continental organizations recognized by the International Judo Federation.
