The nearest ports are Zaporizhzhia River Port - 84 km up the Dnieper and Novokakhovka River Port which is 110 km down the Dnieper. Ever since the 19th century there was a pier in Nikopol. The Nikopol River Port was built in 1956 on the shores of the Kakhovka Reservoir. Since 1974, the Nikopol River Port has been a part of the Zaporizhzhia River Port. NRP specializes in freight and passenger transportation (ferrys) on the line "Nikopol" - "Kamyanka-Dniprovska." Bulk and general cargoes, generally, building materials are also processed here. The port is located 310 kilometers from the mouth of the Dnieper. Berths accept vessels such as "river-sea" variety.
Rzhyshchiv River Port also called Rzhyshchivsky Port is a port enterprise on the Dnieper River, and is located in the city of regional importance Rzhyshchiv. There is a coffee shop that was formerly a station building. Rzhyshchiv has always been considered one of the most important Dnieper ports, and by the middle of the 19th century the cargo turnover here was higher than in the Kyiv River Port and was second only to Dnipropetrovsk River Port. The river station here is typical of the 70s, but rare for small towns. The cargo port has cranes, handles sand, building materials, and so on.

The port is in a basin at the upstream end of the shipping lock that passes through the dam. The port opened in 1962.
Dnipriany River Port is a private river port transport complex. It is located below the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, in Dnipriany, Kherson Oblast, Ukraine. It provides year-round port operation. It is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, 60 km northeast of Kherson with access to the Black Sea and further into the Mediterranean Sea, which allows trade with different countries of different continents, all year round. The city has a good transport interchange in the form of the Odesa railway, as well as highways. Thus, the port city is connected with all regions of Ukraine, near, and far abroad.
The battle of Davydiv Brid was a Ukrainian counter-offensive operation during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. In reaction to Russia's southern Ukraine offensive, Ukrainian forces attempted to recapture part of Russian-occupied Kherson Oblast and tie up Russian resources. The counteroffensive began on 27 May 2022 and was centered near the village of Davydiv Brid, which was initially recaptured by Ukraine; however, they were pushed back over the Inhulets River by 16 June 2022. However, another bridgehead near Lozove was retained by Ukrainian forces. In a subsequent Ukrainian southern counteroffensive that was launched two and a half months later, Davydiv Brid was reported as captured by Ukrainian forces on 4 October.
Popular Resistance of Ukraine is a Ukrainian underground partisan organization operating in the territories of Ukraine occupied by Russian troops during the 2022 invasion of the country. The partisans operate in the rear and transmit the coordinates of important military facilities and the deployment of Russian troops to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
