Nova Kakhovka River Port is an enterprise in the field of river transport. [1] It is located on the Dnipro [2] in Tavriisk (Nova Kakhovka), Kherson Oblast, [3] Ukraine. [4] The duration of navigation is just 270 days a year due to ice in mid-December that generally thaws by mid-March. All types of river vessels and river-sea vessels are accepted. The port provides services for the transportation of bulk mineral cargo, construction cargo, and weighing of goods. It is also possible to store cargo, taking into account the movement of the warehouse. The total area of open warehouses is 61.5 thousand м².

The Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station is a run-of-river power plant on the Dnieper River in Nova Kakhovka, Ukraine. Nova Kakhovka is a port city located on the reservoir's southern bank. The primary purposes of the dam are hydroelectric power generation, irrigation and navigation. It is the 6th and the last dam in the Dnieper reservoir cascade. The deep water channel allows shipping up and down river. The facility also includes a winter garden.

Dnipriany River Port is a private river port transport complex. It is located below the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, in Dnipriany, Kherson Oblast, Ukraine. It provides year-round port operation. It is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, 60 km northeast of Kherson with access to the Black Sea and further into the Mediterranean Sea, which allows trade with different countries of different continents, all year round. The city has a good transport interchange in the form of the Odesa railway, as well as highways. Thus, the port city is connected with all regions of Ukraine, near, and far abroad.

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia occupied vast portions of the territory of Ukraine, having already occupied parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts as well as the entire Autonomous Republic of Crimea since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2014. Partisan groups began to be organized in mid-2022. These groups have been involved in intelligence-gathering, sabotage, and assassinations. Much of their activity has taken place in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

It belongs to Novooleksandrivka rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.
