Lakhimpur railway station is main railway station in Lakhimpur Kheri district, Uttar Pradesh. Its code is LMP. It serves Lakhimpur city. The station consists of three platforms. The platforms are well sheltered. It is under Amrit Bharat Station Yojna Scheme in Which Facilities are Upgrading like Escalators , FOB etc. [1]

In February 2010, Railway Minister of India Mamata Banerjee declared the gauge conversion in Lucknow–Sitapur–Pilibhit metre-gauge line. the work on the rail line started in May 2016. CRS inspection for this railway line was held on 18 March 2019. On 28 August the minister of state railway inaugurated the train. Now trains are running from Lucknow to Lakhimpur. [2] [3] [4] There are just two trains right now which are running between Lucknow and Lakhimpur. The Gomti Express which runs from Gorakhpur to Lakhimpur via Lucknow and Sitapur and another train is a passenger running between Lakhimpur–Sitapur and Lucknow, after the Minister of State for Railway inaugurated this Sitapur and Lakhimpur section. Now the next section is Gola–Mailani and then from Mailani to Pilibhit and after this, the complete route will be opened for railways operation.

Bareilly Junction railway station is a railway station serving Bareilly city in Uttar Pradesh. It is an important station as well as the headquarters of Izzatnagar railway division of the North Eastern Railway zone & Moradabad railway division of the Northern Railway zone. It lies on Lucknow–Moradabad line and Lucknow-Sitapur-Lakhimpur-Pilibhit-Bareilly-Kasganj Line provides a stop for most trains passing through. The main line of the Lucknow–Basti–Gorakhpur section is 277 km, and also features a branch line which connects to Roza Jn. (Shahjahanpur) from Burhwal Junction with a length of 188 km, and joins to the Lucknow–Moradabad line. The upgraded station now consists of five platforms. Three platforms have been completely renovated to have basic facilities including water and sanitation.

Mailani Junction railway station is an important railway station in Lucknow NER Division Of Indian Railways. This junction is an important station of Lucknow-Sitapur-Lakhimpur-Pilibhit-Bareilly-Kasganj rail line and Mailani Junction-Bahraich MG Section. Its code is MLN. It serves Mailani. This junction has both BG and MG tracks. The BG station has 3 platforms and 7 tracks out of which 4 tracks are turminated tracks. The MG station has 4 platforms and 9 tracks. The platforms are well sheltered with many facilities, including water and sanitation.

Ruhelkhand Express is a Express train belonging to Indian Railways - North Eastern Railway zone that runs between Bareilly Junction railway station and Aishbagh railway station in India. It has 13 coaches, out of 9 are General coaches, 2 Coaches are for AC and 2 for luggage. This train is currently cancelled due to gauge conversion.

The Gokul Express was an express train belonging to Indian Railways - North Eastern Railway zone that used to runs between Gonda Junction railway station and Mailani Junction railway station in India. The train last ran on 2016 & was permanently withdrawn due to gauge conversion of Gonda Junction - Nanpara Junction Meter Gauge Line in Broad Gauge Line.
