Chennai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Chennai, India. As of January 2024, the operational network consists of two colour-coded lines covering a length of 54 kilometres (33.55 mi) making it the fourth longest metro system in India. Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a joint venture between Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu built and operates the Chennai Metro. The system uses standard gauge and has a mix of underground and elevated stations.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus is a railhead and a major railway terminus in the Kurla suburb of Mumbai, India. LTT is managed by the Central Railway. The Kurla and Tilak Nagar suburban railway stations are located nearby. It is one of the five railway terminals within Mumbai, the others being Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Dadar on the Central line, and Mumbai Central and Bandra Terminus on the Western line.
Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is a statutory authority, under the Indian Ministry of Railways, set-up by an Amendment to the Railways Act, 1989. It is responsible for creating assets for Indian Railways through the development of vacant railway land for commercial use to generate revenue by non-tariff measures. RLDA's mission is to be a leader in creating value through the redevelopment of land and air spaces – residential, commercial, and transportation hubs. RLDA's expenses are covered through grants provided by Indian Railways. RLDA transfers the total earnings generated from the development of railway land to Indian Railways. The Indian Planning Commission has computed an approximate budget of around Rs 20 to 272 billion for the development of infrastructure nationally during the 11th plan period. Out of this budget, the Railways has an anticipated requirement of Rs 2800 billion. 83% of this requirement is supposed to be met through public sector investment. In order to generate the remaining investment required to meet the budget mentioned above, the Indian Railways set up the Rail Land Development Authority on 1 November 2006. Ved Prakash Dudeja, a 1986 batch IRSE officer, is Vice Chairman of RLDA. He joined RLDA on 7 April 2019.

Hisar is a National Capital Region Counter Magnet City on the 'Hisar-Narnaul Industrial Sub-corridor' of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project. Under the National Capital Region Transport Plan, Hisar International Airport and Noida International Airport are being developed as an alternate within NCR to national capital Delhi's IGI Airport.

Badshahnagar railway station is a very important railway station on the Barabanki–Lucknow Suburban Railway. It serves the Badshah Nagar locality of Indira Nagar. The station is located in a very densely populated area; thus, it handles a large amount of traffic. The number of platforms, however, can not be increased due to lack of space. The railway management has provided many services and facilities to cope up with traffic. Earlier a few trains like Gorakhpur Intercity Express used to originate / terminate here, but now it has been cancelled. Since this is small station with 2 platforms, it is now completely saturated with trains and railway is now compelled to develop Gomti Nagar as a terminal station.

Wimco Nagar Depot Metro station is a Metro railway station on Line 1 Extension of the Chennai Metro. The station is one of the 10 stations in the Phase I northern extension and one of the 26 stations along the Blue Line of the Chennai Metro. The station will serve the neighbourhoods of Ernavur and other northern suburbs of Chennai. This station was inaugurated along with Thiruvottriyur Theradi Metro Station on 14 March 2022.
