MTV Networks started operations in Africa in 1999 with the Nickelodeon block on M-net's K-TV then MTV Base in 2005. In 2008, Nickelodeon became a 24-hour channel. Since then the Network as expanded. Most of its channels are available exclusively on DStv.

The company was originally founded under the name MTV Networks Europe in 1987.

The Dutch version of Nickelodeon, broadcasting in the Netherlands and through satellite in Belgium, and launched on 14 July 2003. In addition to the general Nickelodeon programmes, original productions such as ZOOP, Het Huis Anubis, and SuperNick are also broadcast. The Dutch Kids' Choice Awards were presented in three years, featuring nominees that are relevant to Dutch audiences. In 2010, the US Kids' Choice Awards aired, which included categories for the Netherlands and Belgium inserted into the broadcast.

Nick (German TV channel) German childrens TV channel

Nick is a German free-to-air television channel, part of the international Nickelodeon franchise. Originally launched in 1995, and relaunched in 2005, Nickelodeon is based in Berlin. The channel is available on subscription services and as an unscrambled, free-to-air (FTA) satellite signal. On 31 March 2010, the channel re-adopted the name Nickelodeon on air and online, in addition to the new Nickelodeon logo and graphical package being rolled out internationally at the time. Since then, the channel is also broadcast in English in addition to German on a secondary audio track.

Nickelodeon is a Latin American pay television channel, counterpart of the American network of the same name. It is owned by Paramount Networks Americas and was launched on 20 December 1996. Aside from airing Nick and Nick Jr. content, it has produced original programming for the channel and has been sold to local distributors worldwide except for Cuba as cable television is banned in that country.

MTV Middle East, formerly MTV Arabia, was a free-to-air music television channel, and the Middle Eastern incarnation of MTV. As an addition to the MTV network, it was a joint venture between MTV Networks International and Arabian Television Network, a subsidiary of Arabian Broadcasting Network, and part of Arab Media Group, the largest media group in the United Arab Emirates. Launched as MTV Arabia, the channel was rebranded as MTV Middle East on August 30, 2011.

Paramount International Networks International television networks division of Paramount Global

Paramount International Networks (PIN) is the international division of Paramount Global. The division oversees the production, broadcasting and promotion of key Paramount's brands outside of the United States. These brands include Paramount Network, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, BET and Colors TV, as well as CBS-branded channels, which are co-owned with AMC Networks International. PIN also owns a 30% stake in the Rainbow S.p.A. animation studio in Italy, as well as a 49% stake in an Indian joint venture with domestic partner TV18, Viacom18.

Nickelodeon is a Russian language children's television channel launched on November 15, 1998, across the Post-Soviet states and formerly Russia.

MTV (Dutch TV channel) Dutch television channel

MTV Nederland and België is a Dutch speaking free-to-air television channel broadcasting in the Netherlands. It launched as MTV NL on 12 September 2000. Before the start of country-specific channels, the Pan-European version of MTV aired in the Netherlands.

Nickelodeon is a South African 24-hour television channel aimed at children, The channel was launched on 1 July 2008 & reaches most English-speaking countries in the continent via DStv and GOtv overall the channel is available in 49 countries across the continent, in Ghana the channel is available on Skyy TV, In Kenya it is available on Zuku TV along with AzamTV which is also in Kenya,, Tanzania and Uganda.

MTV Classic (British and Irish TV channel)

MTV Classic was a British pay television music channel from Paramount Networks UK & Australia. The channel was launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 1 July 1999 as VH1 Classic.

MTV Music 24 Pan-European music television channel

MTV Music 24 was a Pan-European music television channel operated by ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA. The channel was available in multiple countries across Europe. The programming consists of non-stop music videos 24-hours a day. The channel first launched in the Netherlands and Flanders in 2011. Since then the channel has rolled out across many parts of Europe including Germany and it is available in South Africa. The channel was registered with licensing authorities in the Czech Republic. In March 2020, the channel launched in Poland replacing the version of MTV Music Polska.

TeenNick is an American pay-TV channel that is operated by the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. Aimed primarily at teens and tweens, its programming includes a variety of live-action series inherited from sister channel Nickelodeon. The channel launched on September 28, 2009, as the merger between two defunct programming blocks which also targeted a teenage audience: TEENick on Nickelodeon and The N on Noggin. Before its introduction as a channel, TeenNick's space used to be held by Nick GAS and a short-lived, 24-hour version of The N.

MTV Africa

MTV Africa is an African pay television from Paramount Networks EMEAA. It focuses mainly on rebroadcasting MTV US content as well as airing local-produced reality series. Founded by Alex Okosi and launched as 'Africas MTV' alongside founding members Jandre Louw, Dudu Qubu and Maya Padmore.

Nicktoons is an South African pay television channel that was launched on 30 September 2014. It is owned by Paramount Networks EMEAA, and is targeted towards children, broadcasting reruns of original animated series from sister network Nickelodeon along with other cartoons. It replaced the African feed of KidsCo, North Africa receives the Arabic-Language feed of the channel Nicktoons MENA.
