The list of current and past Rajya Sabha members from the Madhya Pradesh State. The state elects 11 member for a term of six years and these members indirectly elected by the state legislators of Madhya Pradesh using single transferable votes. Members sit for staggered six-year terms, with one third of the members retiring every two years. [1]
Earlier, since 1952, there were 12 seats from Madhya Pradesh, 6 seats from Madhya Bharat, 4 seats from Vindhya Pradesh state and 1 seat from Bhopal State to Rajya Sabha. After Constitution (Seventh Amendment) Act, 1956, there were 16 seats from Madhya Pradesh. After the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000, 5 seats are allocated to Chhattisgarh state from Madhya Pradesh State, reducing its seats from 16 to 11 seats, since 15 November 2000.

Arjun Singh was an Indian politician from the Indian National Congress, who served twice as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in the 1980s. He also served twice as the Union Minister of Human Resource Development, in the Manmohan Singh and P. V. Narasimha Rao ministries.
Sharad Yadav was an Indian politician from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party. He was elected to the Lok Sabha seven times and to the Rajya Sabha four times from JD(U). He was the first national president of Janata Dal (United), serving from its formation in 2003 until 2016. He was disqualified from the Rajya Sabha in 2017 and removed from party leadership positions for engaging in anti-party activities.

Rajya Sabha elections were held on three dates in 2014, to elect members of the Rajya Sabha, Indian Parliament's upper chamber. The elections were held in February, June, and November to elect respectively 55, 6, and 11 of its 245 members, from 16 of the States. They are held by an open ballot on a single transferable vote (STV) basis among State legislators. Being even-numbered, 2014 was a year in which about 30% of the State Legislature-elected 233-seat component of the body is elected.
Rajya Sabha elections were held in 2018 to elect the 65 retiring members of the Rajya Sabha, Indian Parliament's upper chamber. There were, as routine, three such elections held among relevant State and Union Territory legislators by single transferable vote (STV) and Open Ballot: on 16 January to elect 3 members from Delhi and 1 member from Sikkim; on 23 March to elect 58 members from 16 States; and lastly on 21 June to elect 3 members from Kerala. Being even-numbered, 2018 was a year in which about 30% of the State Legislature-elected 233-seat component of the body is elected. The other 12 seats of the body are appointed by the President.
