Since her debut in 2013, Japanese singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama has embarked on four concert tours. She has performed at 26 music festivals, twelve one-off concerts, six television shows, four radio shows and three award ceremonies, reaching 22 countries across four different continents. Her fourth concert tour, the Hold the Girl Reloaded Tour began in June 2023 in support of her second studio album, Hold the Girl .
Sawayama began her live career with a November 2017 performance at London's Pickle Factory, a venue with a capacity of 150. [1] [2] She later performed more shows in London, as well as in New York City and Los Angeles, before beginning her first official tour in 2018, the Ordinary Superstar Tour. The tour supported Sawayama's debut extended play Rina, visiting 5 major North American cities, and London. [3] [4]
In 2019, Sawayama began performing in music festivals and joined as a support act on Charli XCX's Charli Live Tour in the United Kingdom. [5] In January 2020, Sawayama announced The Dynasty Tour in support of her debut album Sawayama (2020), which would've seen her perform in the United States, Canada and the UK between April and May 2020, [6] but the tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour was postponed a second and third time before eventually taking place between November 2021 and May 2022. [7] [8]
In May 2022, shortly after concluding The Dynasty Tour, Sawayama announced the first leg of the Hold the Girl Tour in support of her second studio album, Hold the Girl (2022), consisting of shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland. [9] Later legs of the tour would visit the United States, Australasia, Japan and mainland Europe. [10] [11] [12] [13]

The Dynasty Tour was Rina Sawayama's second concert tour, in support of her debut album, Sawayama . The tour began in Dublin, Ireland on 8 November 2021 and concluded in New York City on 13 May 2022. [lower-alpha 1] [16]
The tour was original planned to take place in 2020, but was postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It consisted of two legs; the first in the UK and Ireland, and the second in the United States. In between the two legs, the tour would've visited mainland Europe, but this leg was cancelled due to the later breakout of the virus's Omicron variant.

The Hold the Girl Reloaded Tour is the fourth concert tour by British and Japanese singer Rina Sawayama. It is her second tour in support of the Hold the Girl album. The 2023 North American tour began on 9 June in North Adams, Massachusetts and concluded on 9 October in New Orleans, Louisiana. [25] [26] It is based on the original Hold the Girl Tour, but was given revamped costumes and stage designs. [27]

Sawayama is the debut studio album by Japanese-British singer Rina Sawayama. It was released on 17 April 2020 by Dirty Hit. The follow-up to her self-released debut EP Rina (2017), it received widespread acclaim from music critics, specifically towards the wide variety of music genres used, as well as its Y2K nostalgia and "intelligent" nature. Described by Sawayama herself as being "about family and identity", she lyrically explores personal experiences from both her childhood and adulthood.
Charlotte Emma Aitchison, known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer and songwriter. Born in Cambridge and raised in Start Hill, Essex, she began posting songs on Myspace in 2008, which led to her discovery by a promoter who invited her to perform at warehouse raves. In 2010, she signed a recording contract with Asylum Records, releasing a series of singles and mixtapes throughout 2011 and 2012.
"Boom Clap" is a song by English singer Charli XCX, released as the first single from the soundtrack album of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and is also featured on her second studio album, Sucker. There are two existing mixes of this song: the first and original one is heard in the film, the film's soundtrack, and the music video shot in Amsterdam; the second mix is heard on the music video shot in Japan and in Sucker.
Rachel Agatha Keen, known professionally as Raye, is an English singer and songwriter. She first rose to prominence after signing with Polydor Records, and later her 2016 collaborations, "By Your Side" and "You Don't Know Me" with Jonas Blue and Jax Jones respectively. She also gained media attention following her departure from Polydor after the label allegedly refused to release her debut album.

Known for her musical versatility, Sawayama has also modelled for fashion campaigns, and made her film acting debut in the action film John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023).
The Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour was the second headlining concert tour by American singer-songwriter Halsey, in support of her second studio album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (2017). Crash: The Live Tour was the seventh headlining concert tour by English singer Charli XCX, in support of her fifth studio album Crash (2022). The tour began on 26 March 2022 in Oakland, California, United States, and concluded on 5 March 2023 in Perth, Australia.
Hold the Girl is the second studio album by Japanese-British singer Rina Sawayama. It was released on 16 September 2022 by Dirty Hit. The album was preceded by five singles: "This Hell", "Catch Me in the Air", "Hold the Girl", "Phantom", and "Hurricanes". "Frankenstein" and "Imagining" were released as singles following its release. The album, recorded between 2020 and 2021, features production from collaborators including Paul Epworth, Clarence Clarity, Stuart Price, and Marcus Andersson. Clarity also produced much of Sawayama's debut album Sawayama (2020).
The Primavera Sound 2022 music festival was held from 2 June to 12 June 2022 at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona and Sant Adrià del Besòs, Spain. After both the 2020 and 2021 editions were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival returned with a new two-weekend format that combined many bookings from the scheduled 2020 and 2021 lineups while adding new artists as well.

The Born Pink World Tour was the second worldwide concert tour by South Korean girl group Blackpink in support of their second studio album Born Pink (2022). The This Is Why Tour was the fifth concert tour by American rock band Paramore, in support of their sixth studio album This Is Why (2023). The tour began on October 2, 2022 in Bakersfield, California, before the release of the album, with several shows throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America. "Girl, So Confusing" is a song by English singer Charli XCX from her sixth studio album Brat (2024). She wrote the song with its producer A. G. Cook and released it through Atlantic Records. A glitch-influenced indie dance song, "Girl, So Confusing" is built on talk-sing Auto-Tune vocals and a throbbing bassline.
