Emmanuel "Rico" Rodriguez, also known as Rico, Reco or El Reco, was a Cuban-born Jamaican ska and reggae trombonist. He recorded with producers such as Karl Pitterson, Prince Buster, and Lloyd Daley. He was known as one of the first ska musicians. Beginning in the 1960s, he worked with The Members, The Specials, Jools Holland, and Paul Young.
Locksley Wellington Hampton was an American jazz trombonist, composer and arranger. As his nickname implies, Hampton's main instrument was slide trombone, but he also occasionally played tuba and flugelhorn.

Jay and Kai + 6 is the fifth album by jazz trombonists J.J. Johnson and Kai Winding, credited on this album as The Jay and Kai Trombone Octet. The title refers to the six trombonists who accompany Johnson and Winding on the recording. Columbia Records released the album as a monaural LP record in 1956. In December 1956, Jay and Kai + 6 reached the № 3 position on the Billboard jazz chart.

Grey's Mood is an album by trombonist Al Grey recorded in Paris at sessions in 1973 and 1975 and released on the French Black and Blue label in 1979.
Minor Mishap is a studio album featuring American jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard recorded in August 1961. The session was led by trombonist Willie Wilson, who died shortly after the recording date. The album is the only known recording made by Wilson. The album was first released in 1966 exclusively in the Netherlands and in United Kingdom as Groovy! under the Fontana label, and then re-released by Prestige Records in 1970 under Duke Pearson's name as Dedication! and appears on CD without alternate takes by that title as well.
