Almoez Ali is a Qatari professional footballer who represents the Qatar national football team as a striker. He is the country's all-time top goal scorer. [1] As of 26 March 2024, he has scored 54 goals in 112 official international appearances since his debut on 8 August 2016 against Iraq. [2]

Contents

On 16 June 2019, Ali scored in Qatar's 2–2 draw with Paraguay in the 2019 Copa América. [3] Ali was included in Qatar's squad for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He scored four goals in the competition to clinch the top scorer award. [4] In November 2022, he was included in Qatar's squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He started in all three group matches as Qatar made its first appearance at the FIFA World Cup tournament. [5]
