Oriole Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom The cargo ship collided with Corinthian (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom ) in the River Thames at East Greenwich, London and sank. All 24 people on board were rescued. [4] She was refloated on 13 June and beached. [5]
Pinto Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom The cargo ship ran aground off Itajahy, Brazil and was wrecked. [6]

Victoria Luise Flag of the German Empire.svg  Germany The ocean liner ran aground in the Elbe and developed a list. Her engine rooms were flooded. She was later refloated, [8] repaired and returned to service.

Unknown scowFlag of the United States (1912-1959).svg  United States The scow broke loose from her tow in heavy seas at the entrance to the harbor of Cleveland, Ohio. She was driven onto the breakwater and broke up. Her only crewman was rescued by the United States Life Saving Service. [13]

St. Nicholas Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom The passenger ship ran aground and sank in Wick Bay, Orkney Islands. All on board were rescued. [17]

Penhale Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom The cargo ship struck rocks at Vaasa, Finland and was beached. [21] She was refloated on 28 June. [22]

Her passengers were taken off by four vessels which included Cassandra (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom ) and HMS Swift (Naval Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  Royal Navy). California was refloated on 20 August, repaired and returned to service.
Dorothy Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom The cargo ship ran aground at Punta Avaca, Chile. [22] She was refloated on 2 July. [24]
Gay HeadFlag of the United States (1912-1959).svg  United States The 252-ton whaling bark was wrecked on a reef off Castle Head ( 56°10′N158°20′W / 56.167°N 158.333°W / 56.167; -158.333 (Castle Head) ) in Chignik Bay ( 56°17′44″N158°24′05″W / 56.2956°N 158.4015°W / 56.2956; -158.4015 (Chignik Bay) ) on the south coast of the Alaska Peninsula in the Territory of Alaska. Her crew of 31 survived. [24] [25]

Emma J. Chesebro Flag of the United States (1912-1959).svg  United States The schooner sank in the Connecticut River on 4 or 10 June, after striking a railroad bridge pier at the mouth of the river. The wreck was removed to flats as a hazard to navigation by 12 June. [30] [31]
Ingebjörg Flag of Norway.svg  Norway The barque was dismasted in the Atlantic Ocean (approximately 34°S50°W / 34°S 50°W / -34; -50 ). She was abandoned and set afire. Her crew were rescued by Hawkhead (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom ). [32]
Kintuck Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom.svg  United Kingdom The cargo ship ran aground off Batavia, Netherlands East Indies at the end of June due to high seas caused by an earthquake. [22] She was refloated on 2 July. [24]
