<span class="mw-page-title-main">TVR (TV network)</span> Public television broadcaster in Romania

Televiziunea Română, more commonly referred to as TVR, is the short name for Societatea Română de Televiziune, the Romanian public television. It operates nine channels: TVR 1, TVR 2, TVR 3, TVR Cultural, TVR Folclor, TVR Info, TVRi, TVR Moldova and TVR Sport along with six regional studios in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Timișoara, Craiova, and Târgu Mureș.

Commercial broadcasting is the broadcasting of television programs and radio programming by privately owned corporate media, as opposed to state sponsorship, for example. It was the United States' first model of radio during the 1920s, in contrast with the public television model during the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, which prevailed worldwide, except in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, until the 1980s.

Telekabel is a cable television operator and Internet Service Provider for cable and fiber internet in North Macedonia headquartered in Štip, North Macedonia. They also offer Mobile and Fixed Telephony services.

Television in Hungary was introduced in 1957. Transmission in colour was introduced to Hungarian television for the first time in 1971. Hungary had only one television channel until 1973. It was only in the mid 1990s when private and commercial broadcasting was introduced to Hungary.

Television in Serbia was introduced in 1958. It remains the most popular of the media in Serbia—according to 2009 survey, Serbian people watch on average 6 hours of television per day, making it the highest average in Europe.

Television was introduced in Czechoslovakia in 1953. Experimental projects with DVB-T started in 2000. Finally on 21 October 2005, multiplex A (DVB-T) was launched with three channels of Czech Television and one of TV Nova and radio channels of Czech Radio.

Television in Romania started in August 1955. State television started to broadcast on 31 December 1956. The second television channel followed in 1968, but between 1985 and 1990, there was only one Romanian channel before the return of the second channel. Color television was introduced in 1983. Private broadcasters arrived in December 1991, with SOTI which was the first private nationwide television station in Central and Eastern Europe. Romania has the highest penetration rates for pay television in the world, with over 98% of all households watching television through cable or satellite.

TVR Info is a news television channel that broadcasts 24/7 mainly news, utility information, and live traffic images from the major cities through the country. It also sometimes broadcasts documentaries and sport events. It was the second niche channel launched by the public TV broadcaster, after TVR Cultural, and the third news television channel in Romania behind Realitatea TV and Antena 3.

Telemach is the leading cable television and broadband internet service provider and the largest alternative fixed line operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The company is part of the United Group, owned by the British BC Partners. It was founded as M&H Company in Sarajevo in 2005 and was one of the three companies merged to form United Group in 2007.

Super TV is the first Bosnian IPTV provider, owned by Logosoft.
