This is a list of municipalities in Iraq which have standing links to local communities in other countries. In most cases, the association, especially when formalised by local government, is known as "town twinning" (usually in Europe) or "sister cities" (usually in the rest of the world), and while most of the places included are towns, the list also includes villages, cities, districts, and counties with similar links.

Najaf or An-Najaf or Al-Najaf or An-Najaf al-Ashraf, is the capital city of Najaf Governorate in central Iraq about 160 km south of Baghdad. Its estimated population in 2024 is about 1.41 million people. It is widely considered amongst the holiest cities of Shia Islam and one of its spiritual capitals, as well as the center of Shia political power in Iraq. It is reputedly the burial place of Muhammad's son in law and cousin, ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib. It is also the location of the largest cemetery in the world, (Wadi-us-Salaam), of one of the most important seminaries in the Shi'i Islamic world, and a major pilgrimage destination for Shia Muslims.

Karbala or Kerbala is a city in central Iraq, located about 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Baghdad, and a few miles east of Lake Milh, also known as Razzaza Lake. Karbala is the capital of Karbala Governorate, and has an estimated population of 711,530 people (2018).

Nishapur, officially Romanized as Neyshabur,, is a city in the Central District of Nishapur County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Railways is the national state-owned railway system of Iran. The Raja Passenger Train Company is an associate of the IR, and manages its passenger trains. The Railway Transportation Company is an associate of the IR, which manages its freight transport. The Ministry of Roads & Urban Development is the state agency that oversees the IRIR. Some 33 million tonnes of goods and 29 million passengers are transported annually by the rail transportation network, accounting for 9 percent and 11 percent of all transportation in Iran, respectively (2011).

Najafabad is a city in the Central District of Najafabad County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is west of Isfahan and is increasingly becoming a part of the Isfahan Metropolitan area.

GMT+03:30 is an identifier for a time offset from UTC of +03:30. In ISO 8601 the associated time would be written as 2024-05-15T14:07:54+03:30. This time is used only in Iran, so it is also called Iran Standard Time.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi</span> Iranian Ayatollah

Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi is an Iranian Twelver Shia cleric, who is the trustee of the Fatima Masumeh Shrine, and Qom Imam of Friday Prayer. He is also the representative of Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist of Qom.

Electoral districts in Iran are used for elections to the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
