Marichen Jolandi Luiperth (born 23 June 1986) is a Namibian beauty queen who represented Namibia in Miss World 2007 in Sanya, China. She graduated with a focus in Information Studies from the University of Namibia with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. [1]

In January 2008, the NMDC's leader was Frans Goagoseb. In January 2009, the party's leader was Joseph Kauandenge.

Namibia made its Paralympic Games début at the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona. These were the first Summer Paralympics to be held since the country's accession to independence from South Africa in 1990, and thus the first Games in which Namibia was able to take part. For its inaugural participation, the country sent just two athletes, both women, who both competed in discus, javelin and shot put. They did not win any medals.

Since January 2018, Charles Moore has been the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Namibia.

The Namibia national cricket team is the men's team that represents the Republic of Namibia and is governed by Cricket Namibia, an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992, and became part of the High Performance Program in 2007. They took part in the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, though they lost all their games. They have played in each edition of the ICC Intercontinental Cup.
