Mark Higgins (born 21 May 1971) is a Manx rally driver competing in the British Rally Championship. His co-driver was Rory Kennedy.
Higgins was born on the Isle of Man on 21 May 1971. He began his career in motorsport at the age of nine when he took up karting helped by his mother and father. [1]
By the age of 17, Higgins had competed in a range of motor sport activities such as trial bikes and karts. At 17 Higgins began his professional motorsport career with a trip to Sweden to learn from Timo Mäkinen and Anders Kulläng.[ citation needed ]
He has won the British Rally Championship three times, 1997, 2005, 2006. [2]
In 2016, Higgins piloted a Subaru WRX-STI Time Attack car to a new lap record around the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course. His time of 17 minutes 35 seconds beat his previous record by nearly two minutes. [3]
Higgins has worked for many years with Top Gear's former Stig Ben Collins on various film and television sequences. Higgins was a stunt driver for the James Bond films Quantum of Solace , [4] Skyfall [5] Spectre and No Time to Die . [6]
Higgins also appears as a stunt driver and on-camera in the fifth episode of Amazon's The Grand Tour .[ citation needed ]
Higgins lives in Powys, Mid-Wales, with his wife and two children. [5] With his brother and father, he was also a partner in the family rally school located in Carno, near Newtown, Powys.

Peter "Possum" Raymond George Bourne was a champion New Zealand rally car driver. He died under non-competitive circumstances while driving on a public road that was to be the track for an upcoming race.
Richard Alexander Burns was an English rally driver who won the 2001 World Rally Championship, having previously finished runner-up in the series in 1999 and 2000. He also helped Mitsubishi to the world manufacturers' title in 1998, and Peugeot in 2002. His co-driver in his whole career was Robert Reid. He is the only Englishman to have won the World Rally Championship as a driver.

Mark Johnathon Lovell was a British rally driver. He won the 1986 British Rally Championship in a Ford RS200 Group B, the 1987 and 1988 Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, the 1988 International Dutch Rally Drivers' Championship and the 2001 SCCA ProRally Drivers' Championship in the United States. He also won the 2003 Pikes Peak Rally only two weeks before his death.

The Subaru WRX is an all-wheel drive sport compact car manufactured by the Japanese automaker Subaru, originally based on the Impreza created for the World Rally Championship in 1992. Subaru claimed the name WRX stands for "World Rally eXperimental". Starting with the 2015 models, the WRX lineup has been split from the Impreza, with a different body style that is not offered as an optional hatchback/wagon, being introduced as the separate Levorg model.
