Santa Rosa County is a county located in the northwestern portion of the U.S. state of Florida. As of 2017 estimates, the population was 174,272. The county seat is Milton, which lies in the geographic center of the county. The largest communities are Navarre, Pace, and Gulf Breeze.

Hank Locklin American musician

Lawrence Hankins 'Hank' Locklin was an American country music singer-songwriter. A member of the Grand Ole Opry for nearly 50 years, Locklin had a long recording career with RCA Victor, and scored big hits with "Please Help Me, I'm Falling", "Send Me the Pillow You Dream On" and "Geisha Girl" from 1957-1960. His singles charted from 1949-1971.

A. Anne McLellan, is a Canadian academic and politician. She was a cabinet minister in the Liberal governments of Jean Chrétien and Paul Martin, serving most recently as deputy prime minister of Canada. In 2015, she was appointed chancellor of Dalhousie University.

William Walker McLellan was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He came to the United States at the end of the nineteenth century, and began working at a department store in Newark, New Jersey. He became a manager of the first S. H. Kress store in Memphis, Tennessee, and then joined McCrory Stores as a vice president. In 1917 he founded McLellan Stores, a chain of five and dimes, which grew to 200 stores by 1933. He lost control of the company during the Great Depression to United Stores Corporation and left soon thereafter. He then founded the [W.W. Mac Company], a chain that he built to 70 stores at the time of his death. In Florida stores were in Cocoa, Lake Wales, Sebring, Winter Haven and Plant City on S. Collins St. His wife was Margueritta S. McLellan, who died in 1954.
