Milton Township is one of nine townships in DuPage County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 120,237 and it contained 46,254 housing units. [2]
According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Milton Township has a total area of 35.30 square miles (91.43 km2), of which 34.43 square miles (89.17 km2) (or 97.55%) is land and 0.87 square miles (2.25 km2) (or 2.45%) is water. [3]

As of the 2020 census [6] there were 120,237 people, 43,088 households, and 30,683 families residing in the township. The population density was 3,406.44 inhabitants per square mile (1,315.23/km2). There were 46,254 housing units at an average density of 1,310.42 per square mile (505.96/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 74.23% White, 4.75% African American, 0.31% Native American, 9.66% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 3.70% from other races, and 7.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.14% of the population.
There were 43,088 households, out of which 32.30% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.59% were married couples living together, 7.70% had a female householder with no spouse present, and 28.79% were non-families. 24.30% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.90% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 3.19.
The township's age distribution consisted of 23.7% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 26.3% from 45 to 64, and 16.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39.2 years. For every 100 females, there were 96.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.0 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $103,462, and the median income for a family was $129,841. Males had a median income of $73,878 versus $40,105 for females. The per capita income for the township was $52,520. About 3.3% of families and 5.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.1% of those under age 18 and 5.0% of those age 65 or over.

Palos Township is one of 29 townships in Cook County, Illinois. As of the 2020 census, its population was 56,836, with its most populous municipality being Palos Hills. The vast majority of the township's population resides in its eastern half; the half west of La Grange Road consists of the Palos Forest Preserves, a section of the Cook County Forest Preserves. In 1850 the small town of Trenton, Illinois changed its name to Palos; this recommendation was made by M.S. Powell, the local postmaster, whose ancestor supposedly sailed with Christopher Columbus from Palos de la Frontera. When it incorporated as a village in 1914, Palos officially became Palos Park. Nearby communities incorporated later: Hickory Hills, in 1951, and Palos Hills, in 1958. All three municipalities lie completely or substantially within Palos Township. Palos Heights, partially in Worth Township, incorporated in 1959.
