Mixtla (municipality) is a town and municipality in Puebla in south-eastern Mexico. [1]

As of April 2, 2021, Mixtla had presented two confirmed cases but no deaths related to the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico. [2]

The dismembered body of former municipal president Altamirano Gonzalo Elías Zopiyactle (2005-2007), 48, was found with a narco-message from "Miauuu" on April 2, 2021 in Zongolica along Mexican Federal Highway 123.found last Friday in Zongolica belongs to the former mayor of Mixtla, both territories of Veracruz. [3]

Las Choapas is a city and its surrounding municipality in the southeastern extremes of the state of Veracruz in Mexico. Mixtla de Altamirano is a municipality in Veracruz, Mexico. It is in the central zone of the state of Veracruz, about 247 kilometres (153 mi) from the state capital Xalapa. It has an area of 60.87 square kilometres (23.50 sq mi). The municipality of Mixtla de Altamirano is delimited to the north by Texhuacán, to the east by Zongolica, to the south by Tehuipango and to the west by Astacinga. It produces principally maize and coffee. In Mixtla de Altamirano, a celebration to honor San Andrés Apostol, patron of the town, takes place in December. The weather in Mixtla de Altamirano is very cold all year with rains in summer and autumn.

Soledad de Doblado is a municipality located in the semiarid zone of the center of the Mexican state of Veracruz, in the plains of the Sotavento of Veracruz, about 75 km from the state capital of Xalapa. It has a surface of 370.96 km2. It is located at 19°03′N96°25′W. On June 16, 1896, by Decree the town was named Soledad de Doblado, in honor of Manuel Doblado, who signed in this place, on February 19, 1862, the preliminary agreements with the representatives of England, Spain and France. By a decree of November 16, 1961 it rose to the category of city.

Tehuipango is a municipality located in the montane central zone in the State of Veracruz, about 110 km from state capital Xalapa. It has a surface of 111.04 km2. It is located at 18°31′N97°03′W. Santiago Tehuipango, it was a people belonging to Zongolica's federation, during the 16th century, later it tried to form its own town hall; in 1831 a municipality was consisting already of basics schools and parish of masonry. Zongolica is a municipality located in the south zone in the State of Veracruz, about 100 km from state capital Xalapa. It has a surface of 63.34 km². It is located at 18°40′N97°00′W. The name comes from Nahuatl Tzontli-coliuhqui 'crafty hair'.
