Mixtow is a hamlet in the Lanteglos-by-Fowey parish in south east Cornwall, England. [1] It is located on the north side of an inlet off the River Fowey, opposite Fowey Docks.
Fowey is a port town and civil parish at the mouth of the River Fowey in south Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The town has been in existence since well before the Norman invasion, with the local church first established some time in the 7th century; the estuary of the River Fowey forms a natural harbour which enabled the town to become an important trading centre. Privateers also made use of the sheltered harbourage. The Lostwithiel and Fowey Railway brought China clay here for export.
Lostwithiel is a civil parish and small town in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom at the head of the estuary of the River Fowey. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 2,739, increasing to 2,899 at the 2011 census. The Lostwithiel electoral ward had a population of 4,639 at the 2011 census. The name Lostwithiel comes from the Cornish "lostwydhyel" which means "tail of a wooded area".
The River Looe is a river in south-east Cornwall, which flows into the English Channel at Looe. It has two main branches, the East Looe River and the West Looe River. The eastern branch has its source near St Cleer only 0.31 miles (0.5 km) away from the Golitha Falls on the River Fowey, and flows south, passing close to the western outskirts of Liskeard. The western branch has its source near Dobwalls.
Readymoney Cove is a sandy beach to the south of the harbour town of Fowey, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is sheltered by cliffs close to the mouth of the River Fowey estuary and bounded, on one side, by the medieval part of the town of Fowey and, on the other, by St Catherine's Castle. The beach can be covered during spring tides. The beach is cleaned daily during high season, and a bathing platform is moored in the bay. There is a small shop with public toilet facilities both of which are open all year round. Dogs are banned between 10am and 6pm during July and August. Above the cove is the former coach house which was the home of author, Daphne du Maurier, for a few years during the Second World War. Comedian Dawn French used to live in a house overlooking the cove.

Colliford Lake is a reservoir on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Covering more than 900 acres (3.6 km2), it is the largest lake in Cornwall. It is situated south of the A30 trunk road near the village of Bolventor, the approximate centre of the lake being at OS grid reference SX179730. Dozmary Pool outfalls into the lake and the lake's own outfall forms one of the tributaries of the River Fowey.

Penpol Creek is a tidal creek which is a tributary of the River Fowey in Cornwall, England, UK. It lies between the parishes of St Veep and Lanteglos-by-Fowey. The tidal limit is at the bridge at lower Penpol. Penpol Mill is mentioned in 1591 and it was rebuilt in 1794, today it is abandoned. The bridge was built in 1867, replacing a tidal ford. Above the bridge the river becomes Trebant Water.
The River Lerryn is a river in east Cornwall, England, UK, a tributary of the River Fowey. The Lerryn is the largest of the tributaries which enter the estuary of the Fowey. The river is tidal up to the village of Lerryn. The landscape of the Lerryn catchment is rural and includes heathland, moorland and rough pasture in the upper reaches and broadleaf, coniferous and mixed plantation woodland in the lower. This catchment includes four SSSIs, including Redlake Meadows & Hoggs Moor. The Lerryn rises at Fairy Cross on the southern slopes of Bodmin Moor and flows south-southwest until it enters the Fowey estuary.
