Monico is a town in Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 260 at the 2020 census. The unincorporated community of Monico is located in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 54.6 square miles (141.3 km2), of which, 54.1 square miles (140.1 km2) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.2 km2) of it (0.84%) is water.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 364 people, 128 households, and 99 families residing in the town. The population density was 6.7 people per square mile (2.6/km2). There were 216 housing units at an average density of 4.0 per square mile (1.5/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.35% White, 0.27% Native American, 0.55% from other races, and 0.82% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.55% of the population.
There were 128 households, out of which 43.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.3% were married couples living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.9% were non-families. 18.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.84 and the average family size was 3.22.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 32.1% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 33.5% from 25 to 44, 19.8% from 45 to 64, and 9.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
