Muskeget Island Airport( FAA LID : MA55) is a small privately owned turf landing strip located on Muskeget Island in the town of Nantucket. [1] It is barely maintained and mostly overgrown, and although technically reserved for emergency use only, pilots STOL aircraft will occasionally attempt to land there. [2]
The airport, along with two-thirds of the island, are owned by retired reporter Crocker Snow Jr., whose father built the airstrip. [3]

It has one runway. The south end of the runway meets the water of the north Atlantic Ocean, while the north end meets the islands forests and grasslands. There is one shed on the east side. The runway length is decreasing due to sea level rise and beach erosion, attributable to climate change.
