Music of Nepal refers to the various musical genres played and listened to in Nepal. With more than fifty ethnic groups in Nepal, the country's music is highly diverse. Genres like Tamang Selo, Chyabrung, Dohori, Adhunik Geet, Bhajan, Filmi music, Ghazal, Classical music, songs and Ratna music are widely played and popular, but many other less common genres are yet to be cataloged. Western musical genres like Rock, Metal, Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B also regularly feature on the Nepalese music charts. Most of the country's musical bands are based in the Kathmandu valley. Musical genres from Tibet and India have greatly influenced Nepalese music.
Rajesh Hamal is a Nepalese film actor and besides acting He has also worked as a television host. He is a popular actor in Nepali cinema and is often called "Maha Nayak(महानायक)" by his fans. Hamal started his acting career in 1991, and reached his peak in the 1990s and early 2000s. He holds several box office records in Nepali cinema, including the most commercially successful films as a lead actor, most consecutive hits and most awards as an actor.

Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah, credited as Samragyee RL Shah, is a Nepali film actress who works in Nepali cinema. Shah is the recipient of several awards, including one NFDC National Film Awards and one NEFTA Film Awards.
Ujwal Ghimire is a Nepalese film director, actor, producer, story writer, ad/documentary maker and film educator. He is considered one of the most well-known and leading movie directors of the Nepalese film industry. He is a three times National Film Award (Nepal) winner, two times Nefta Film Award winner and earned number of other prestigious awards for his outstanding works. He also contributed in making the first television film in the history of television industry of Nepal in 1985.
Ghampani is a 2017 Nepali language drama film written and directed by film critic Dipendra Lama. It stars Dayahang Rai and Keki Adhikari in leading roles. The film has two songs composed by Kali Prasad Baskota and Chandra Kumar Dong. Ghampani recorded as a hit at the box office, collecting 12 million rupees in the first three days after its release.
Nepal Idol is a Nepali reality television singing competition that is part of the Idols franchise created and owned by FremantleMedia. Nepal Idol 2017 is the first season of Idol Franchise in Nepal which aired on AP1 TV.
Karun Thapa born on 23 March 1965) is a Nepali IT expert, film editor, 3D animator, trainer, a well-known lyricist and Ghazal writer. Karun is known for his technological contribution to Nepali IT and media industry. He has contributed by introducing Devanagari fonts in computers, introducing AVID Digital Film Editing system in Nepal and introducing 3D animation in Nepal.
"Melancholy" is an environmentally-themed song sung by 365 Nepali artists. This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu.
Surakshya Panta is a Nepalese actress, creative director and producer. She debuted as an actress from Alok Nembang's 2015 Ajhai Pani in a supporting role. Panta rose to fame after her role in Dhanapati. She has also worked in critically acclaimed films like Gopi and Aama. She made her international debut in the Italian movie "The Eight Mountains” directed by Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch.
Jaari is a 2023 Nepali film written and directed by Upendra Subba under the banner of Baasuri Films. It is produced by Ram Babu Gurung. Released on April 14, 2023, the film stars Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Prem Subba, Bijay Baral, Roydeep Shrestha, and Rekha Limbu. The film is based on Limbu community and their Jaari tradition, which was historically one of the most significant part of their culture; the Jaari tradition was also relevant in many other communities of Nepal.
