Oklahoma Alliance is an American women’s soccer team, founded in 2007. The team is a member of the Women's Premier Soccer League, the second tier of women’s soccer in the United States and Canada. The team plays in the South Division of the Big Sky Conference.

In earlier seasons the team played its home games in the stadium on the campus of Chickasha High School in the city of Chickasha, Oklahoma, but the team moved to the pitches of the Edmond Soccer Club in Edmond, Oklahoma—a city in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The club's colors are black and white.

The Houston Aces are a North American women's soccer team founded in 2012. The Aces participate in the UWS West Conference of the UWS, the second tier of women's soccer in the United States and Canada, underneath the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). NWSL expansion

The expansion of the National Women's Soccer League began with the league's sophomore season in 2014, when the league expanded to a ninth team in Houston, and is an ongoing process that currently has seen two expansions and one relocation. The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) was established as the top level of professional women's soccer in the United States in 2013 in the wake of the Women's United Soccer Association and Women's Professional Soccer. The league has seen two teams fold and one relocate. The 2016 champions Western New York Flash sold their NWSL franchise rights to North Carolina FC the following offseason, with the new owners relocating the NWSL side as the North Carolina Courage. During the next offseason, two-time champions FC Kansas City were sold back to the league and folded, followed immediately by the sale of a franchise slot to Real Salt Lake, and the Boston Breakers folded.

United Womens Soccer

United Women's Soccer is a second-division pro-am women's soccer league in the United States. The league was founded in 2015 as a response to the dual problems of disorganization in the WPSL and of the folding of the USL W-League. The league began play in May 2016 with eleven teams in two conferences. The league currently has 23 teams in 4 conferences.
