Madhyamam is a Malayalam-language newspaper published in Kerala, India, since 1987. It was founded by Ideal Publications Trust run by the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind wing in Kerala. It has nine editions in India and its Persian Gulf edition Gulf Madhyamam has nine in the Middle East.
Kollam Pooram is a ten-day festival held every year in April in Kollam City in the Indian state of Kerala. The festival attracts a large number of people from all parts of the state and is organised in connection with the annual festival of the Asramam Sree Krishna Swamy Temple at Kollam's Asramam Maidan. The festival has now assumed the status of a national festival attracting tourists in large numbers.

Kollam G. K. Pillai was an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema. He acted in more than 50 films. He handled character roles and comedy roles during the 1970s and 1980s. He died on 30 January 2016.
Vellayani Arjunan was an Indian writer, scholar, and linguist from Kerala. He served two terms at the State Institute of Encyclopaedic Publications as chief editor from 1975 to 1988 and as director from 2001 to 2004. During his tenure at the institute, seven volumes of the 12-volume Malayalam encyclopedia Viswasahityavijnanakosam were published. He is credited with several publications, including children's literature and critical studies. His book Gaveshana Mekhala has been a prescribed text for the post graduate course M.A. Malayalam at the Aligarh Muslim University. A recipient of the Paramacharya Award from Sarojini Bhaskaran Memorial Charitable Public Trust, he was honored by the Government of India in 2008 with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.
Sathish Kalathil is an Indian film and documentary director and producer in Malayalam. His experimental works are well known and appropriately discussed in Malayalam Cinema industry and his debut movie Jalachhayam (2010) was well discussed according to its experimental approach. His first film was Veenavaadanam (2008), an experimental documentary about art (painting). In 2012, he directed Laloorinu Parayanullathu, a socially committed documentary film about municipal solid waste and Jnana Saradhi in 2012, a historical documentary film about the first communal school of Kerala, Namboodiri Vidyalayam. He is also a story writer, poet and lyricist in Malayalam.
Prakkulam is a village in Kollam district in the south west Indian state of Kerala. This village is the part of Thrikkaruva Grama Panchayat. In the 19th century, there were beaches in prakkulam for importing and exporting goods. This village is situated 12 km from Kollam junction railway station and 11 km from Kollam K.S.R.T.C Bus Station. Kollam Bypass, which connects National Highway 544 from Kavanad to Mevaram is passing through Prakkulam.

Yara International School (YIS) (Arabic: مدرسة يارا العالمية) is a K–12 private foreign school in the ad-Dirah district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located next to Qasr Al Hokm station in the former campus of the Female Student Study Center of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. Established in 2003 by a group of businessmen, it primarily serves the local Indian diaspora and offers curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school previously offered British curriculum alongside the Indian one between 2019 and 2023.
Muthukulam Parvathy Amma (1904–1977) was a Malayalam language poet, teacher, translator, freedom fighter and social reformer from Kerala, India. She published books in various genres of literature, including poetry, short poems, plays, short stories, children's literature, translations and biographies. Parvathy Amma, a follower of Narayana Guru, supported the Indian freedom struggle, and was inclined towards the Indian National Congress. Muthukulam Parvathy Amma Award is a literary award given to woman writers.
A. Nabeesa Ummal was an Indian academic, orator, social worker, and Communist Party of India (Marxist) politician from Kerala. She was the first Muslim woman to pursue a postgraduate degree in Malayalam. She was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly from Kazhakoottam Assembly constituency in 1987 as an independent candidate with the support of Left Democratic Front.
Sudhi Das, originally from Kochi, Kerala better known by his stage name Kollam Sudhi, was an Indian comedian, actor, and impressionist who worked in Malayalam television, stage, and cinema. He got a breakthrough on television with the reality TV sketch comedy show Comedy Festival on Mazhavil Manorama, where his team emerged as the winner. Sudhi is best known for being a regular cast member of the comedy show Star Magic on Flowers. He starred in more than 40 Malayalam films. He also appeared as a guest performer in several Malayalam comedy shows.
K. P. A. C. Leela is an Indian actress best known for her work in Malayalam theater and films. She has received the Guru Pooja Award of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy. The Kerala State Film Awards 2018 jury gave a special mention for her performance in the film Roudram 2018.

His second film was Manoharam starring Vineeth Sreenivasan. His song "Uyyaram Payyaram" from the film Kakshi Amminippilla was written in Malayalam by Manu Manjith, and went viral across social media platforms including YouTube and Instagram, with more than 45 million views.
