Valiya Koonambaikulam temple or Valia Koonampayikulam temple is a Hindu temple located at Koonambaikulam near Vadakkevila in Kollam district of Kerala in India. This is one of the most ancient temples in Kerala and is dedicated to Bhadrakali. The temple is under the control of Valiya Koonambaikulam Sree Bhadrakali Kshetra Trust. The trust owns an Engineering college called Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering and Technology (VKCET) at Parippally in Kollam district.
Sathish Kalathil is an Indian film and documentary director and producer in Malayalam. He is also story writer, and lyricist. His experimental works are well known and appropriately discussed in Malayalam Cinema industry and his debut movie Jalachhayam (2010) was well discussed according to its experimental approach. Prakkulam is a village in Kollam district in the south west Indian state of Kerala. This village is the part of Thrikkaruva Grama Panchayat. A. Nabeesa Ummal was an Indian academic, orator, social worker, and Communist Party of India (Marxist) politician from Kerala. She was the first Muslim woman to pursue a postgraduate degree in Malayalam. She was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly from Kazhakoottam Assembly constituency in 1987 as an independent candidate with the support of Left Democratic Front.
Sudhi Das, better known by his stage name Kollam Sudhi, was an Indian comedian, actor, and impressionist who worked in Malayalam television, stage, and cinema. He got a breakthrough on television with the reality TV sketch comedy show Comedy Festival on Mazhavil Manorama, where his team emerged as the winner. Sudhi is best known for being a regular cast member of the comedy show Star Magic on Flowers. He starred in more than 40 Malayalam films. He also appeared as a guest performer in several Malayalam comedy shows.
Thangassery Breakwater Tourism Park is a newly opened tourist destination in Kollam, Kerala. The park is located on a 2.5-acre plot of land at Thangassery, a coastal town in Kollam district. The park was inaugurated on April 27, 2023, and has been attracting a large number of visitors since then.
K. P. A. C. Leela is an Indian actress best known for her work in Malayalam theater and films. She has received the Guru Pooja Award of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy. The Kerala State Film Awards 2018 jury gave a special mention for her performance in the film Roudram 2018.
