Onychiuridae is a family of Collembola. [1] This family has 600 species in 51 genera.
According to Checklist of the Collembola of the World: [2]
Entomobryidae, sometimes called "slender springtails", is a family of springtails characterised by having an enlarged fourth abdominal segment and a well-developed furcula. Species in this family may be heavily scaled and can be very colourful. The scale-less Entomobryidae are commonly caught in pitfall traps around the planet, and also occur in canopy faunas high up in trees. There are more than 1700 described species in Entomobryidae.
The family Neanuridae contains pudgy short-legged springtails of the order Poduromorpha. It was established by Carl Börner in 1901.
Hypogastruridae is a family of springtails. Members of the family are common and widespread with a cosmopolitan distribution of about 660 species in about 40 genera.
Isotomidae is a family of elongate-bodied springtails in the order Entomobryomorpha.
Deuteraphorura kruberaensis is a species of springtails belonging to the family Onychiuridae. It is endemic to the Krubera-Voronja cave system in Georgia. It is one of the deepest terrestrial animal ever found on Earth, living at >1,800 metres (5,900 ft) below the cave entrance. It was discovered in the CAVEX Team expedition of 2010.
Cryptopygus is a genus of springtails. Cryptopygus belongs to the Isotomidae family.
Hypogastruroidea is a superfamily of springtails in the order Poduromorpha. There are at least 2 families and more than 700 described species in Hypogastruroidea.
Onychiuroidea is a superfamily of springtails in the order Poduromorpha. There are about 5 families and more than 630 described species in Onychiuroidea.
Tullbergiidae is a family of springtails in the order Poduromorpha. There are more than 30 genera and 120 described species in Tullbergiidae.
Pseudachorutinae is a subfamily of springtails in the family Neanuridae. There are more than 50 genera and 200 described species in Pseudachorutinae.
Endonura is a genus of springtails in the family Neanuridae. There are at least 40 described species in Endonura.
Willemia is a genus of springtails in the family Hypogastruridae. There are at least 40 described species in Willemia.
Deuteraphorura is a genus of springtails belonging to the family Onychiuridae. There are 83 species in the genus.
Pseudachorutes is a genus of springtails in the family Neanuridae. There are more than 50 described species in Pseudachorutes.
Vertagopus is a genus of springtails belonging to the family Isotomidae.
Bionychiurus tamilensis is a species of the family Onychiuridae, a group of springtails. Bionychiurus tamilensis has a dorsal pseudocellus (pso) formula as 32/133/33343 and a ventral pso formula as 11/011/11121. It was recorded from the Nilgiri Hills, Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve of Western Ghats, India. The status as new species of the genus Bionychiurus was confirmed molecular studies.
Bionychiurus is a genus of the family Onychiuridae, a group of springtails. Genus Bionychiurus was established by Pomoroski in the year 1996, based on the morphological features of the first instar larvae of Onychiurus normalis. Later, Weiner established a new genus Bangallophorus based on O. normalis; but Pomorski synonymized Bangallophorus with Bionychiurus in 1998.
Onychiurini is a tribe within the family Onychiuridae, a group of springtails.
