Reception

Subhash K. Jha for Times Now reviewed the series and opined "There is plenty of such sloppiness to be seen in P I Meena." [9]

Critic Deepa Gahlot reviewing the series for Rediff.com rated 2.5 stars out of 5 and wrote "Too many well-known names in the cast with too little to do and some characters dispatched just when they were making sense." [10]

A critic from Firstpost stated "Even detectives and investigators can break into a smile, at least when they know they are taking the right direction to solve the mystery." [11]

Prateek Sur of Outlook stated "If you’re looking for a great detective story, ‘P.I. Meena’ isn’t the answer." [12]

Scroll.in stated "Rogue science combines with poor plotting to ensure that the question doesn’t get a befitting answer." [13]

The Daily Guardian stated "Sourabh Prabhudesai’s editing is not great – this eight-episode series (40 minutes each) could have been effectively trimmed down to six cutting out a lot of unnecessary distractions in the show." [14]

Jisshu Sengupta is an Indian actor, producer, television presenter and anchor who predominantly works in Bengali cinema, in addition to few Hindi and Telugu language films. Sengupta made his debut through a Bengali TV series, Mahaprabhu where he portrayed the role of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu; the role gained him much recognition. Subsequently, he made his film debut with Priyojon (1999), which became a debacle at the box office. In 2002, he played Tagore in Sukanta Roy's ambitious venture Chelebela alongside Debashree Roy playing Kadambari Devi. following which he appeared in a spate of critically and commercially unsuccessful projects. He made his Bollywood debut with Shyam Benegal's National Award winning film Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero (2004). It is set in the emergency room of a government hospital, focusing on the challenges faced by medical staff and first responders during times of crises.
