Parco Biblioteca degli Alberi is a city park in the Porta Nuova district of Milan, Italy.
The park was developed as part of the broader urban regeneration project that gave rise to Milan's new Porta Nuova district. Its landscape design was conceived by the Dutch firm Inside Outside, led by Petra Blaisse, following an international competition held in 2004. [1] [2] [3] Construction progressed over several years and the park was officially inaugurated on 27 October 2018. [1] [2] [4]
The park covers an area of approximately 10 hectares (25 acres) and is unfenced, allowing it to integrate smoothly with the surrounding urban environment. [5] The park includes over 100 plant species, including more than 500 trees organized into 22 circular groves. [3] [4] It also features a small pond hosting fish and aquatic plants. [3]
