Pastaza Canton is a canton of Ecuador, located in the Pastaza Province. Its capital is the town of Puyo. Its population at the 2001 census was 45,512. [2]

The members of the Záparo ethnic group now speak Quichua, though there is a language revival effort beginning. Záparo is sometimes confused with Andoa, though the two languages are distinct.
