Percy Stevens

The Rt. Rev. Percy Stevens was a missionary of the Anglican Church.
Born on 21 May 1882 [1] and educated at Winchester House, Bristol and St Aidan's Theological College, Birkenhead, he was ordained in 1907 and began his ecclesiastical career as a Curate at St Jude's, Plymouth. [2] For many years a CMS Missionary in Kwangsi-Hunan he was Bishop of that area from 1933 to 1949.
He died on 7 July 1966 [3]

St Mary Aldermanbury Church in London, England

St Mary Aldermanbury was a parish church in the City of London first mentioned in 1181 and destroyed by the Great Fire of London in 1666. Rebuilt in Portland stone by Christopher Wren, it was again gutted by the Blitz in 1940, leaving only the walls standing. These stones were transported to Fulton, Missouri in 1966, by the residents of that town, and rebuilt in the grounds of Westminster College as a memorial to Winston Churchill. London Missionary Society

The London Missionary Society was a predominantly Congregationalist missionary society formed in England in 1795 at the instigation of Welsh Congregationalist minister Dr Edward Williams working with evangelical Anglicans and various nonconformists. It was largely Reformed in outlook, with Congregational missions in Oceania, Africa, and the Americas, although there were also Presbyterians, Methodists, Baptists and various other Protestants involved. It now forms part of the Council for World Mission (CWM).

Sigismund Wilhelm Koelle or Kölle was a German missionary working on behalf of the London-based Church Missionary Society, at first in Sierra Leone, where he became a pioneer scholar of the languages of Africa, and later in Constantinople. He published a major study in 1854, Polyglotta Africana, marking the beginning of serious study by Europeans of African languages.

John Vernon Taylor was an English bishop and theologian who was the Bishop of Winchester from 1974 to 1984.

Aidan of Lindisfarne 7th-century Bishop of Lindisfarne and saint

Aidan of Lindisfarne was an Irish monk and missionary credited with converting the Anglo-Saxons to Christianity in Northumbria. He founded a monastic cathedral on the island of Lindisfarne, known as Lindisfarne Priory, served as its first bishop, and travelled ceaselessly throughout the countryside, spreading the gospel to both the Anglo-Saxon nobility and the socially disenfranchised.
