Reunion Records is a contemporary Christian record label based in Brentwood, Tennessee, that operates under the Provident Label Group. It was founded in 1982 by Dan Harrell and Mike Blanton. [1]
The label was formed by Amy Grant's managers (Harrell being her brother-in-law), with the label's original intent to give new artist Kathy Troccoli a home after being rejected by the major labels at the time. Troccoli, Michael W. Smith and Rich Mullins were the label's first three artists. [2]
In 1990, they signed a new distribution deal with Geffen Records. [3] In 1992 50% of Reunion Records was sold to BMG [3] and by 1995 the other half was also acquired by BMG. [4] For a time following the BMG acquisition they distributed through RCA Records. [3] From 1995 until 1996, it was part of Arista Records (a BMG company). In October 1996, the label was sold to Zomba Records. [1] Through eventual consolidation, it is now part of Sony Music.
Mike Blanton and Dan Harrell partnered with Steve Thomas to create BHT Entertainment in 2003. [5] The label signed a distribution agreement with Word Records.

Jive Records was a British-American independent record label founded by Clive Calder in 1981 as a subsidiary of the Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago. Jive was best known for its successes with hip hop, R&B, and dance acts in the 1980s and 1990s, along with teen pop and boy bands during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Pure Attraction is the fourth full-length album by singer-songwriter Kathy Troccoli, released on October 29, 1991, through Reunion Records. Coming five years after her 1986 album, Images, Pure Attraction saw Troccoli shifting away from Christian music and into mainstream pop territory, with two songs written by Diane Warren. It featured the top five CCM and top twenty pop hit "Everything Changes", and featured seven songs co-written by Troccoli. The album peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
The 29th Annual GMA Dove Awards were held on April 23, 1998, recognizing accomplishments of musicians for the year 1997. The show was held in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Nashville Arena. Live coverage on The Nashville Network was hosted by John Tesh and Naomi Judd, with a one-hour pre-show hosted by Clarence Gilyard and Kathy Troccoli. This would be the last full national telecast of the event until 2003.

It featured music popular with CCM, as well as synthpop friendly songs, "I Belong to You", "Holy Holy", and "Hearts of Fire". The album features the songwriting skills of Brown and Debbie Bannister, Amy Grant, Gary Chapman, Michael W. Smith, as well as others. The music is a blend of contemporary pop, synthpop, and gospel music. Heart and Soul climbed to the top 10 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
LaFace Records was an American record label based in Atlanta, Georgia, that operated as a unit of Sony Music Entertainment from 2008 to 2011 and was historically a part of Bertelsmann Music Group from 1989 to 2004. It was most active and achieved its greatest commercial success during the 1990s, dealing largely in the field of urban music. It was originally distributed by its co-creator Arista Records from 1989 through 2001, after which it was shuttered and absorbed into Arista. In 2004, the label was rebooted, and it began operating through Jive Records until both were absorbed into RCA Records in 2011. Today, the label's back catalog and reissues are managed by Legacy Recordings.
Stubborn Love is the first album by Christian singer/songwriter Kathy Troccoli, released in 1982 on Reunion Records. Stubborn Love was reportedly the best-selling debut album by a contemporary Christian music female artist. The title song was a hit on Christian radio reaching number two on the Christian AC chart. The album also features her cover of "You're All I Need to Get By" written by Ashford and Simpson, made famous in 1968 by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell but with Christian lyrics. Stubborn Love was re-issued on CD in 1994 with a new album cover with an updated photo of Troccoli. The album peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Inspirational Albums chart in 1983.
Images is the third full-length studio album by Christian singer/songwriter Kathy Troccoli, released in 1986 on Reunion Records. It did not sell as well as her previous two albums. Despite that, Images still earned Troccoli a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Performance, Female at the 30th Grammy Awards in 1988. After the release of Images, Troccoli embarked on a five-year sabbatical from her recording career and would not release another album until 1991's Pure Attraction. Images peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Top Inspirational Albums chart.
