Reunion Records is a contemporary Christian record label based in Brentwood, Tennessee, that operates under the Provident Label Group. The label was founded in 1982, by Dan Harrell and Mike Blanton. [1]
The label was formed by Amy Grant's managers (Harrell being her brother-in-law), with the label's original intent to give new artist Kathy Troccoli a home after being rejected by the major labels at the time. Troccoli, Michael W. Smith and Rich Mullins were the label's first three artists. [2]
In 1990, they signed a new distribution deal with Geffen Records. [3] In 1992 50% of Reunion Records was sold to BMG [3] and by 1995 the other half was also acquired by BMG. [4] For a time following the BMG acquisition they distributed through RCA Records. [3] From 1995 until 1996, it was part of Arista Records (a BMG company). In October 1996, the label was sold to Zomba Records. [1] Through eventual consolidation, it is now part of Sony Music.
Mike Blanton and Dan Harrell partnered with Steve Thomas to create BHT Entertainment in 2003. [5] The label signed a distribution agreement with Word Records.

Jive Records was an American independent record label founded by Clive Calder in 1981 as a subsidiary to the Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago. Jive was best known for its successes with hip hop, R&B, and dance acts in the 1980s and 1990s, along with teen pop and boy bands during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In July 2011 it was finally dissolved into two separate labels: the RCA Music Group and Epic Records which took Jive subsidiaries until October 2011 when it retired Jive Records along with Arista Records and J Records. The artists on those three labels were moved to RCA Records.

Elliott Brown Bannister III is an contemporary Christian music (CCM) producer and songwriter. Bannister released one album of his own, Talk to One Another, in 1981 on NewPax Records. It was reissued on the Reunion Records label five years later, featuring a newer recording of the album's final cut, "Create in Me a Clean Heart". The original NewPax version featured Ed DeGarmo on the Hammond B3 organ; the 1986 version featured Amy Grant and her then husband Gary Chapman on vocals. The 1986 version was released as a radio single and gained moderate airplay in some markets.
Barry Weiss is an American music executive and producer who is currently an executive with RECORDS, a label he co-founded. He got his start at Clive Calder's Jive Records before working his way up to the head of the RCA/Jive Label Group. While at Jive, Weiss fostered artists like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, NSYNC, Chris Brown, Backstreet Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, and many others. Pure Attraction is the fourth full-length album by singer-songwriter Kathy Troccoli and her first since her 1986 album Images. It was released on October 29, 1991, on Reunion Records. It saw her moving slowly away from Christian music and into mainstream pop territory, with two songs written by Diane Warren. It featured the top five CCM and top twenty pop hit "Everything Changes", and featured seven songs co-written by Troccoli. The album peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.

It featured music popular with CCM, as well as synthpop friendly songs, "I Belong to You", "Holy Holy", and "Hearts of Fire". The album features the songwriting skills of Brown and Debbie Bannister, Amy Grant, Gary Chapman, Michael W. Smith, as well as others. The music is a blend of contemporary pop, synthpop, and gospel music. Heart and Soul climbed to the top 10 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
LaFace Records was an American record label based in Atlanta, Georgia, that operated as a unit of Sony Music Entertainment from 2008 to 2011 and was historically a part of Bertelsmann Music Group from 1989 to 2004. It was most active and achieved its greatest commercial success during the 1990s, dealing largely in the field of urban music. It was originally distributed by its co-creator Arista Records from 1989 through 2001, after which it was shuttered and absorbed into Arista. In 2004, the label was rebooted, and it began operating through Jive Records until both were absorbed into RCA Records in 2011. Today, the label's back catalog and reissues are managed by Legacy Recordings.
Images is the third studio album by Christian singer/songwriter Kathy Troccoli, released in 1986 on Reunion Records. It did not sell as well as her previous two albums. Despite that, Images still earned Troccoli a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Performance, Female at the 30th Grammy Awards in 1988. After the release of Images, Troccoli embarked on a five-year sabbatical from her recording career and would not release another album until 1991's Pure Attraction. Images peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Top Inspirational Albums chart.
