S. Gandhiselvan (born 2 June 1963) is an Indian politician and former member of the Parliament of India from Namakkal Constituency. [1] He was the Minister of state for Health and Family Welfare,Govt. of India,from 22 May 2009 to 19 March 2013. [2] He represents the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party
The Nationalist Congress Party is one of the state parties in India. It refers to the Ajit Pawar faction after the 2023 split in the party when the SC granted the original party name and symbol to the Nationalist Congress Party. It was one of the major political parties in Maharashtra and was a recognised state party in Nagaland and Kerala. In July 2023,majority of the elected MLAs and MLCs of the party led by Ajit Pawar joined the National Democratic Alliance government,however,all MPs except two are expected to remain loyal to Sharad Pawar. Ramaswamy Venkataraman was an Indian lawyer,Indian independence activist and politician who served as a Union Minister and as the eighth president of India. Venkataraman was born in Rajamadam village in Tanjore district,Madras Presidency. He studied law and practised in the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court of India. In his young age,he was an activist of the Indian independence movement and participated in the Quit India Movement. He was appointed as the member of the Constituent Assembly and the provisional cabinet. He was elected to the Lok Sabha four times and served as Union Finance Minister and Defence Minister. In 1984,he was elected as the seventh vice president of India and in 1987,he became the eighth President of India and served from 1987 to 1992. He also served as a State minister under K.
