Saint Dominic is an oil on canvas painting of Saint Dominic by Titian, from c. 1565. It is held in the Galleria Borghese, in Rome. [1] [2]
The painting depicts Saint Dominic de Guzmán, the founder of the Dominican Order. The saint is shown with the typical Dominican habit, with a white tunic, and a black cloak, with an hood on his head, in a brown background. He raises his left hand towards the sky, while around his head there is a thin white halo, as a symbol of his sainthood.
Tiziano Vecellio, Latinized as Titianus, hence known in English as Titian, was an Italian Renaissance painter, the most important artist of Renaissance Venetian painting. He was born in Pieve di Cadore, near Belluno. During his lifetime he was often called da Cadore, 'from Cadore', taken from his native region.

The Madonna of the Rabbit is an oil painting by Titian, dated to 1530 and now held in the Louvre in Paris. It is signed "Ticianus f." and is named after the white rabbit held in Mary's left hand. The rabbit is a symbol of fertility and – due to its whiteness – of Mary's purity and the mystery of the Incarnation, and is also a symbol of her virginity; female rabbits and hares can conceive a second litter of offspring while still pregnant with the first, resulting in their being able to give birth seemingly without having been impregnated.

The Assassination of Saint Peter Martyr was a 1528-1529 altarpiece in oils by Titian, originally painted on panel and later transferred to canvas. It was "destroyed by an Austrian shell", or the resulting fire at Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Venice in 1867, though a 1691 copy by Johann Carl Loth hangs in its place. It was reproduced as a print under Titian's supervision, and was highly influential. It was 500 x 306 cm, one of Titian's pioneering large vertical altarpieces.
