Background

The company was founded by Charles Ritchie in 1982 and is based in Peterhead, Scotland, where it was the largest private sector employer in 2007. [1]

The Score Group comprises over 20 separate companies worldwide,[ citation needed ] all involved in engineering and generally supporting the oil and gas industry with valve and gas turbines [2] [3] [ failed verification ]

Score Europe ltd (part of the Score Group) were awarded the title of Large Employer of the Year by Skills Development Scotland at the 2013 Scottish Modern Apprenticeship awards. [4] Score previously won the Employer of the Year Award in 2008.[ citation needed ]

Score Diagnostics ltd (part of the Score Group) is a manufacturer of acoustic emissions equipment which allows leakage within valves to be identified through non-intrusive means. The Score Diagnostics product range is named Midas and includes the handheld Midas Meter. [5] [6]

The headquarters of the company are on the site where the Glenugie Distillery once stood. [7]

The company were bought by SCF Partners in December 2019. [8]
