Seirophora is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Teloschistaceae. It has eight species. [2] The genus was circumscribed by German lichenologist Josef Poelt in 1983, with Seirophora magara assigned as the type species. [3] Several species were transferred to Seirophora in 2004 when the genus was emended by Patrik Frödén and Per Lassen to include some species segregated from Teloschistes . [4]
As of September 2023 [update] , Species Fungorum (in the Catalogue of Life) accepts eight species of Seirophora. [5]
