The episode features a Rusical (musical theatre challenge) of the same name, composed by Lucian Piane. [2] In the episode, Courtney Act won the challenge and April Carrión was eliminated from the competition.

Reception

In Magazine ranked "Shade" the seventh best Rusical on Drag Race in 2018. [3] In 2020, Bernado Sim of Screen Rant deemed the Rusical among the show's best and called "Shade" an "absolute fan-favorite". [4] Stephen Daw of Billboard ranked "Shade" ninth in a 2023 list of Rusicals on RuPaul's Drag Race. [5]
