South Eastern Women's Football (SEWF) [lower-alpha 1] was an Australian rules football competition, based near the southeastern region of Melbourne, Victoria.
Following the 2023 season, all clubs moved to the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League, thus disbanding the SEWF competition.
In 2017, women's football clubs from AFL Gippsland, AFL South East, AFL Yarra Ranges, the Eastern Football League and Southern Football Netball League joined the South Eastern Women's Football Collective following the disbandment of the Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL). [1] The competition was made up of former VWFL clubs, as well as teams from local competitions. [2]
The 2020 and 2021 seasons were abandoned due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. [3]
In its inaugural season until 2023, SEWF had Division 1 (renamed to Premier Division in 2021), Division 2 and a Development League (renamed to Division 3 in 2018). [4]
At the end of the 2022 season, Division 3 was disbanded. [4]
In its final season in 2023, the competition involved 19 teams − six in Premier Division and 13 in Division 2.

The Isthmian League is a regional football league covering Greater London, East and South East England, featuring mostly semi-professional clubs.

The North East Australian Football League was an Australian rules football league in New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. The league was formed in November 2010, and its inaugural competition was in 2011. It was a second division league, sitting below the national Australian Football League (AFL) and featured the reserves teams of the region's four AFL clubs playing alongside six non-AFL affiliated NEAFL senior teams. Nine NEAFL seasons were contested between 2011 and 2019, before the 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the league was amalgamated into the Victorian Football League from 2021.

The Collingwood Magpies were an Australian professional netball team in Melbourne that competed in the premier domestic league, Suncorp Super Netball. The team was founded in 2016, during the disbanding of the ANZ Championship. The Magpies were owned by the professional Australian Football League entity, the Collingwood Football Club. The team's home games were predominantly played at John Cain Arena. In May 2023, news reports disclosed that the team was in financial distress, and later that month the Collingwood Football Club announced it would withdraw its netball team at the conclusion of the 2023 season.
Melissa Hickey is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club and the Geelong Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She served as Geelong captain in the club's first two AFL Women's seasons. She also played in the Victorian Women's Football League/VFL Women's for eleven seasons, representing the St Albans Spurs, Darebin and Geelong. In the VWFL/VFLW, Hickey won seven premierships, represented Victoria on three occasions and featured in the VFL Women's team of the year.

The Eastern Devils Football Club is a women's Australian rules football club based in Wheelers Hill, Victoria that currently competes in the Eastern Football Netball League.
Monbulk Football Netball Club, nicknamed The Hawks, competes in the Outer East Football Netball League. Monbulk was a foundation member of the YVMDFL in 1966, which had since changed its name to Yarra Ranges FNL in 2016 and is now known as the AFL Outer East Football Netball League competition since 2019.
