He rose to prominence in 2020 with the release of the singles "Day in the Life" and "Loading". His first mixtape Wild West was released on 12 March 2021, which debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. His second mixtape 23 was released on 25 February 2022 and debuted atop the UK Albums Chart.

"Starlight" is a song by British rapper Dave. It was released on 3 March 2022 through Dave and Neighbourhood Recordings. The song was written and produced by Dave himself. It debuted at number-one in both the UK Singles Chart and the Irish Singles Chart, becoming Dave's second number-one single in the UK, after "Funky Friday" in 2018, and his first in Ireland. It was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2023 Brit Awards.

"First Class" is a song by American rapper Jack Harlow, released through Atlantic Records and Generation Now as the second single from Harlow's second album Come Home the Kids Miss You on April 8, 2022. The song was produced by Rogét Chahayed, BabeTruth, Charlie Handsome, Jasper Harris and Nickie Jon Pabón, and heavily samples the 2006 Fergie song "Glamorous", which features Ludacris and was produced by Polow da Don. The song went viral on TikTok before its release.

"Sticky" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake. It was sent to rhythmic contemporary radio through Republic Records and OVO Sound as the dual lead single from his seventh studio album, Honestly, Nevermind, on June 21, 2022, alongside the single "Massive", which was sent to contemporary hit radio on the same day. Drake wrote the song with producer Gordo and additional producer Ry X. It is one of the two rap songs on the album, along with "Jimmy Cooks"–the rest of the album is mostly deep house. It is also one of two songs on the album with a Baltimore Club sound.

"Jimmy Cooks" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake featuring British rapper 21 Savage, released on June 17, 2022, as the final track from the former's seventh studio album Honestly, Nevermind, with the latter being the only guest appearance on the album.

It went viral on TikTok for its lyrics, including references to its namesake, American rapper and singer Doja Cat. The song samples Eve's 2001 song featuring Gwen Stefani, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind". It debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart and number one in New Zealand and Greece. With a video produced by Lyrical Lemonade, this release made Central Cee the first UK artist to have a video directed by Cole Bennett.
