The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar statue is a 125-ft tall statue located in Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, India. [1]

Details

The statue is 125 feet tall and stands on a 50 feet high plinth, thus its total height is 175 feet. [2] [3] After the Statue of Social Justice in Vijayawada, this is the tallest statue of B. R. Ambedkar in the world. It is the fifth tallest, and third tallest standing statue in India. [4]

The then Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao laid the foundation stone of Ambedkar's 125 feet tall statue on 14 April 2016 on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary. The foundation stone was laid in 2016, but the construction of the statue began in 2021. [5] After 7 years, the CM unveiled this giant statue of Ambedkar on 14 April 2023 on the occasion of his 132nd birth anniversary. [6] The statue was designed by Ram V. Sutar. [7]

The memorial is spread over an area of 11.8 acres. It has a grand statue, foundation building, a replica of the Indian Parliament, museum, library, conference hall and other structures. The cost for the entire monument was around Rs. 146.5 crores. [8]

The foundation stone (replica of Parliament House) on which the statue is installed is three storeyed and has a total built up area of 26,258 square feet. This memorial has a museum which has many articles and pictures depicting the life history of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. There is also a library related to audio-visuals of Ambedkar's life.[ citation needed ]

The entire campus spread over 11.8 acres is decorated with 2.93 acres of landscape and greenery. There are two lifts for visitors to the top of the platform to reach the feet of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. In the statue, Babasaheb is depicted holding the Constitution in his hand. 791 tonnes of stainless steel and 9 tonnes of brass have been used for this statue.[ citation needed ]

There is the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat beside the statue.[ citation needed ]

The park is managed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). Hussain Sagar is a heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1562. <i>Statue of Equality</i> (Ambedkar) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial, Mumbai

The Statue of Equality also known as the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial is a monument under-construction dedicated to B. R. Ambedkar, the 20th-century Indian intellectual and the father of the Indian Constitution. The statue will be located at Indu Mills Compound in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra. The statue will be 137.3-metre (450 ft) in total height, including a 30.5-metre (100 ft) pedestal. The Ambedkar statue will be the third tallest statue in the world after the Statue of Unity and the Spring Temple Buddha. The statue will be completed in May 2026.

The Statue of Equality is a statue of the 11th-century Indian philosopher Ramanuja, located on the premises of the Chinna Jeeyar Trust at Muchintal, Ranga Reddy district in the outskirts of Hyderabad. The Praja Bhavan, officially known as Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan and formerly as Pragathi Bhavan is the official residence and principal workplace of the Chief Minister of Telangana. It is located at Greenlands Road, Punjagutta, Hyderabad in Telangana. It was built in 2016 under the chief ministership of K. Chandrashekar Rao. It was designed by the Indian architect, N. Niroop Kumar Reddy.

Bhim Janmabhoomi is a memorial dedicated to Bhimrao Ambedkar, located at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, India. This was birthplace of Ambedkar, who was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow. where the local government built this grand memorial. Ambedkar, an Indian polymath, statesman, social reformer and the father of the Indian Constitution. This Ambedkar's statue is 125 feet (38 m) tall and stands on an 81 feet (25 m) tall base building, making its total height 206 feet (63 m). It is the fourth tallest statues in India.
