Sunil V. Deodhar is a Bharatiya Janata Party politician,Swayamsevak, BJP National Secretary, state in-charge of Tripura, Andhra Pradesh co-incharge & Founder of an Organization My Home India. [1] [2] [3] [4] In the 2014 Indian general election, Deodhar was appointed as the campaign manager to Indian prime minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. [5] [6] [7]

Sunil Deodhar was national coordinator of the North East India Communication Cell set up by then BJP national president Nitin Gadkari. [8] Under his leadership, BJP achieved massive victory in Tripura, marking the end of CPM party's government for 25 years. [9] [10]

BJP is celebrating the period around the birthday of PM Narendra Modi Ji as Sewa Sapatah. Sunil Deodhar is a member of the committee formed for celebrating his birthday as Sewa Saptah. To make the initiative a grand success, the BJP has constituted a central committee with party leader Avinash Rai Khanna being appointed as its convenor. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and national secretaries Sudha Yadav and Sunil Deodhar are also part of the committee. [11]

He is also BJP state co-Prabhari for Andhra Pradesh. [12] He played crucial role in general election and state assembly elections since he took over the charge. [13]

2014 Indian general election General election held in India in 2014

The Indian general election, 2014 was held to constitute the 16th Lok Sabha, electing members of parliament for all 543 parliamentary constituencies. Running in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014, it lasted 36 days. According to the Election Commission of India, 814.5 million people were eligible to vote, with an increase of 100 million voters since the last general election in 2009, making it the largest ever election in the world. Around 23.1 million or 2.7% of the total eligible voters were aged 18–19 years. A total of 8,251 candidates contested for the 543 Lok Sabha seats. The average election turnout over all nine phases was around 66.40%, the highest ever in the history of Indian general elections.

Voting took place in all 543 parliamentary constituencies of India to elect members of parliament in the Lok Sabha. The result of this election was declared on 16 May. The 15th Lok Sabha completed its constitutional mandate on 31 May 2014. Since the last general election in 2009, the 2011 Indian anti-corruption movement by Anna Hazare, and other similar moves by Baba Ramdev, have gathered momentum and political interest. Issues such as Inflation, price rise and corruption were some of the chief issues.
