The Imperial Japanese occupation of Hong Kong began when the Governor of Hong Kong,Sir Mark Young,surrendered the British Crown colony of Hong Kong to the Empire of Japan on 25 December 1941. His surrender occurred after 18 days of fierce fighting against the Japanese forces that invaded the territory. The occupation lasted for three years and eight months until Japan surrendered at the end of the Second World War. The length of the period later became a metonym of the occupation.

Kwong Wah Hospital is also a pioneer in Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine. TWGHs has established TWGHs Wilson T S Wang Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Treatment Centre in Kwong Wah. The hospital has participated through joint consultation for designated diseases under protocols which developed by both Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine practitioners.

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Museum is a museum housed in the former Main Hall Building of Kwong Wah Hospital,located at 25 Waterloo Road,Kowloon,Hong Kong. Only this building was preserved when Kwong Wah Hospital was re-developed in 1958–1963. This building was built in 1911;it was classified as a Grade I historic building and in 2010,it was declared as a monument in 2010.
Lui Seng Chun is a Grade I Historic Building located at 119 Lai Chi Kok Road,in Mong Kok,Hong Kong,at the junction with Tong Mi Road. It is a four-storey tong-lau that was built in 1931 by Mr. Lui Leung. The architect was Mr. W. H. Bourne.
The Antiquities Advisory Board (AAB) is a statutory body of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with the responsibility of advising the Antiquities Authority on any matters relating to antiquities and monuments. The AAB was established in 1976 along with the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) when the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53) was enacted,and comprises members appointed by the Chief Executive. The corresponding governmental ministry is the Development Bureau,and executive support for the AAB is provided by the AMO which is under the Development Bureau.

Ho Tung Gardens,also known by its Cantonese name 'Hiu Kok Yuen',was a villa on the Peak,Hong Kong. It was built by Robert Hotung and his wife Clara in 1927. They referred to it as "The Falls",but it later became known as Ho Tung Gardens.

The 1894 Hong Kong plague,part of the third plague pandemic,was a major outbreak of the bubonic plague in Hong Kong. While the plague was harshest in 1894,it returned annually between 1895 and 1929,and killed over 20,000 in total,with a fatality rate of more than 93%. The plague was a major turning point in the history of colonial Hong Kong,as it forced the colonial government to reexamine its policy towards the Chinese community,and invest in the wellbeing of the Chinese.
The Hung Shing Temple,Tai Kok Tsui or Hung Shing Temple,Fuk Tsun Street (福全街洪圣庙) is a Hung Shing Temple located at No. 58 Fuk Tsun Street (福全街),in the Tai Kok Tsui area of Hong Kong. It is the only Hung Shing temple in urban Kowloon.
