The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2024 or simply Euro 2024, will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the European men's national teams of its member associations. Germany will host the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from 14 June to 14 July 2024 and the winner will later compete in the 2025 CONMEBOL–UEFA Cup of Champions against the 2024 Copa América winner. 24 teams will compete, with Georgia as the only team making their first appearance in a UEFA European Championship finals or a major international tournament.

The UEFA European Championship is the main football competition of the men's national football teams governed by UEFA. Held every four years since 1960, in the even-numbered year between World Cup tournaments, it was originally called the UEFA European Nations Cup, changing to the current name in 1968. Starting with the 1996 tournament, specific championships are often referred to in the form "Euro 2008" or whichever year is appropriate. Prior to entering the tournament all teams other than the host nations compete in a qualifying process.

The UEFA European Championship is one of the major competitive international football tournaments, first played in 1960, whose finals stage has been held every four years.

Italy have participated in ten UEFA European Championships, and reached the final on four occasions. They became champions as hosts in 1968, the first European Championship they qualified for, and finished as runners-up in 2000 and 2012, before winning their second continental championship at Euro 2020.

Portugal have participated in eight editions of the UEFA European Championship, with an upcoming ninth appearance in 2024. Their first tournament was in 1984, and the side have advanced past the group stage in every edition they've participated in so far. Portugal have reached the semi-finals on five occasions, and reached the final as hosts in 2004, however losing to tournament underdogs Greece. They captured their first major tournament win after defeating hosts France 1–0 in the final of Euro 2016.

Ukraine have appeared in three UEFA European Championships – Euro 2012, Euro 2016, and Euro 2020, with an upcoming fourth appearance at Euro 2024. Before 1996, some of its players played for the Soviet Union national team and CIS national team – Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, Hennadiy Lytovchenko, Oleh Luzhnyi, Ivan Hetsko and others.

Austria have appeared in three editions of the UEFA European Championship: 2008, 2016, and 2020, with an upcoming fourth appearance in 2024.

Albania have qualified twice for the UEFA European Championship — in 2016 and 2024. On both occasions, they directly qualified after securing a top two spot in their qualifying group. Euro 2016 was the side's first ever appearance at a major tournament finals.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship</span> 23rd edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship

The 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 23rd edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. Initially, 12 teams were to play in the tournament, however on 6 February 2019, UEFA's executive committee increased this number to 16. Only players born on or after 1 January 1998 were eligible to participate.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship</span> International football competition

The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 24th edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. A total of 16 teams played in the final tournament, and only players born on or after 1 January 2000 were eligible to participate.

The 2022–23 UEFA Nations League D was the fourth and lowest division of the 2022–23 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the third season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA.

Group A of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 14 to 23 June 2024. The group contains hosts Germany, Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland.

Group C of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 16 to 25 June 2024. The group contains Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia and England.

Group D of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 16 to 25 June 2024. The group contains Poland, the Netherlands, Austria and France.

Group E of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 17 to 26 June 2024. The group contains Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine.

Group F of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 18 to 26 June 2024. The group contains Turkey, Georgia, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
