Wind of Change is a Bangladeshi music television series. It showcases a mix of local and international musicians performing together. It first premiered on Gaan Bangla during Eid al-Fitr in 7 May 2016. [1] The series was created by Kaushik Hossain Taposh, who produces it with Farzana Arman Munny. [2] [3] [4]

Pre-Season 1 (2016)

Pre-Season One of Wind of Change aired on 7 July 2016 and has a total of 20 episodes with Taposh being featured in Behaya Mon, Tip Tip Brishti, Nouka, Dil Ki Doya Hoy Na, Nacho and Pagla Ghora. The event was the first of its kind with an extravagant music arrangement conducted by Music Director Kaushik Hossain Taposh and featured various known international and local Bangladeshi artists. The platform changed the way live music programs are defined in Bangladesh and around the world through dynamic music arrangements by Taposh and mesmerizing, unique visuals directed by Farzana Munny. Pre-Season 1 featured 'Wind of Change Renditions' of legendary songs by artists/bands including Subir Nandi Ayub Bachchu, Miles, Habib Wahid, Chirkutt and more. The first 14 seconds of the tune of Behaya Mon was used for the Pre-Season 1 Intro.

Season 1 (2017)

After two Pre-Seasons, 'Wind of Change' released its first season on 25 June 2017 and has a total of 17 episodes with Taposh being featured in every episode. The platform continued to grow in order to keep establishing itself as an international manifesto of cultural exchange and world-renowned musicians joined the revolution as seen in this season. Supported by One More Zero Group and heralded by TM Productions, the expansion aimed to keep enhancing the 'Wind of Change' experience as it sets its sights to be the new benchmark for musical fusion globally.

The second season of 'Wind of Change' aired on the 31 August 2017 and has a total of 12 episodes with Taposh being featured in every episode except for Jochona & Obujh Bhalobasha. It continued to make a positive impact on the world by making music for goodwill and unity. This was carried out by inviting world renowned musicians to come together not just for music itself but the people and, by extension, the various cultures it affects.

Season 3 (2018)

The third season of 'Wind of Change' aired on 15 June 2018 and has a total of 22 episodes with Taposh being featured in every episode except for Nitol Paye & Arale Arale. Expanding on its goal of preserving songs that are culturally monumental, the platform also rejuvenated various unsung heroes of the Bangladeshi music industry from the past. Continuing the journey of success, season three featured artists like Andrew Kishore, Kiran Chandra Roy Agoon, Mizan, and Sumon.

The fifth season was aired on 6 June 2019 and has a total of 8 episodes with Taposh being featured in every episode. Renowned Bollywood singers like Aditi Singh Sharma, Kailash Kher, and Papon performed in this season. World-famous drummer Marco Minnemann and ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Bumblefoot also performed here. All of the songs were re-composed by Kaushik Hossain Taposh. [8]

Serving as the managing director and CEO of Gaan Bangla his platform promotes diversifying all aspects of entertainment under one umbrella so that every artist involved can move forward with swiftness when trailing their creative process. At age 31, Taposh broke another record by becoming the youngest person to be given a Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Composer for a film song composition for the film Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini (2013). "Ore Neel Doriya Amay De Re De Chhariya" is a Bengali film song from 1978 released Bangladeshi movie Sareng Bou. The song is penned by Mukul Chowdhury and is considered as one of the evergreen compositions of Bangladeshi Music. Originally composed and produced by Alam Khan and recorded on Abdul Jabbar's voice. The song is filmed on a theme where a sailor man's wife is dreaming about her husband's home coming. Farooque has acted as sailor captain in this film, who carry out the song. This film's director Abdullah Al Mamun has filmed this song's opening on a running train, second verses on a Bangladeshi Sampan and filming of the final verses has taken place on a human trail.

Taneem Rahman Angshu is a National Award winning Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter, editor and CGI Artist who largely works in Bengali Films and TV productions. His first feature film Shopner Ghor (2018), was a horror film which had critical success. He won the Best Director (Bangladesh) for Shopner Ghor at 18th Telecine Award in Kolkata, India. His second film No Dorai (2019), was a major commercial success and won six national awards at Bangladesh's 33rd National Film Award (2019) including the Best Director and Best Film Category. No Dorai also won FIPRESCI at 18th Dhaka International Film Festival. Angshu also won Best Music Video Award in Channel-I Music Awards for two consecutive years, 2016 and 2017.

"Daak Diyachhen Doyal Amare" is a Bengali film song belongs to the Bangladeshi film Pran Sajani released in 1979. Syed Asaduddaula Shirazi was the main lyricist of the song. Moniruzzaman Monir was credited as the lyricist of the song in the film. The song was composed by Alam Khan and performed by Bangladeshi playback artist Andrew Kishore. Due to its popularity, the song has been reproduced several times over decades. The song is all about few final days before one's death.

"Jodi Raat Pohale Shona Jeto" is a song from the 1991 Bangladeshi music album named Jonotar Nouka. The lyricist of this modern music was Hasan Motiur Rahman. Moloy Kumar Ganguly composed sang originally this song to the tune with music arrangement of Almas Ali. The song is considered to be the most popular song about Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The song was released under label of Chenasur along with other songs from the audio album.

Mohammad Ashraful Haque is a Bangladeshi film actor. He usually plays supporting character as an antagonist. He made his on-screen debut in the film Love (1991) directed by Sohanur Rahman Sohan, but his first release was Keyamot Theke Keyamot in 1993, which was also directed by Sohanur Rahman Sohan. Don has acted more than 650 films in his career of more than two decades. In 2023 he performed in Priyotoma, which is the highest grossing Bangladesh film of all-time.
