XOXO is the fourth and final studio album by Latin American boyband CNCO, released on August 26, 2022, by Sony Music Latin. [1] It contains the genres of reggaeton and Latin pop, with lyrics about partying, heartbreak, romance, and sex. Co-written almost entirely by the group's members, the album features vocals from Mexican singer Kenia Os, American singer Adriel Favela, Colombian singer Beéle, and contributions from several producers such as Los Legendarios, Richi López, and the band's own Zabdiel de Jesús. XOXO is the boyband's last album before their disbandment, announced in July 2022. [2]
The lead single "Toa La Noche" was released on June 22, 2021, marking their first song as a quartet. [3] The second single "Party, Humo & Alcohol" was released in January 2022, followed by "La Equivocada" in April. The fourth and fifth singles, "No Apagues la Luz", and "La Equivocada (Versión Tumbao)" with Favela, were released simultaneously on June 23. "Plutón" with Kenia Os was released in July, and the seventh and final single "Miami" with Beéle, was released on August 24. [4] [5]
The group announced their farewell tour, titled La Ultima Cita, to promote the album and also performed previous material. The concert series spanned throughout the Americas. [6]
Latin boyband CNCO released their debut EP Que Quienes Somos, on October 11, 2019. The project saw the group gain creative control over their music, co-writing most of the EP. [7] The band announced their third concert tour, Press Start, which was set to begin in 2020, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [8] During quarantine, the group recorded their cover album Déjà Vu, released in February 2021. [9] During May, member Joel Pimentel announced his departure from the group, with his final day being their live virtual performance on May 14. The remaining members stated that they would continue as a quartet. [10]
On July 22, 2021, CNCO performed "Toa La Noche" at Premios Juventud. [11] The next year, they performed "Party, Humo & Alcohol" at Premio Lo Nuestro on February 24, where they won the awards for Pop Album of the Year for Déjà Vu, Pop Song for "Tan Enamorados" and Pop Group or Duo. [12] [13] On April 21, the group appeared at the Latin American Music Awards of 2022, performing "La Equivocada", where they also received the Favorite Pop Album award. [14] [15] They performed "Plutón" at the 2022 Premios Juventud ceremony, which took place in July 21, with the last-minute absence of Kenia OS, due to the singer testing positive for COVID-19. [16] While accepting the award for Best Fandom during the ceremony, de Jesús announced that the band would split up in a year and half. [17]
After the event, the group posted photos on their social media showing the members wearing jackets spelling out the album's title in red letters.XOXO was released on August 26, the sixth-year anniversary of CNCO's first album Primera Cita (First Date). [18] The band embarked on their final tour, La Última Cita Tour (The Last Date), which started on May 12 in Lima, Peru. [19]

CNCO embarked on their La Última Cita Tour, to promote the album. [21] It was set to begin on May 9 in La Paz, Bolivia, but due to logistical issues, it was postponed and rescheduled for July, alongside the concert for May 10 in Santa Cruz. [22] The tour began on May 12, 2023, in Lima, Peru visiting various cities throughout Latin America and the US, ending on November 17, at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico. [23]

Juan Luis Morera Luna, best known by his stage name Wisin, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton rapper, singer and record producer, best known as a member of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. Wisin is noted for his unique and aggressive style of rapping.
Austin Agustín Santos, better known by his stage name Arcángel, is an American rapper and singer. He is often described as one of the most influential artists in the Latin urban genre, as well in Latin music overall, and one of the pioneers of Latin trap music. Around 2002, he became interested in becoming a performer of reggaeton. While living in Puerto Rico, he met fellow singer De la Ghetto, where they eventually formed a popular then-underground reggaeton duo, Arcángel & De la Ghetto.
Abraham Mateo Chamorro is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He is known for his soulful and dance-oriented music.
CNCO was an American latin boy band based in Miami, Florida. The group consisted of Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús; Joel Pimentel was a member until his departure in May 2021. They won a five-year recording contract with Sony Music Latin after becoming the winning competitors of the first season of La Banda. The band toured with Ricky Martin. Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, known professionally as Anuel AA, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. His music often contains samples and interpolations of songs that were popular during his youth. He is seen as a controversial figure in the Latin music scene for his legal troubles and feuds with fellow Puerto Rican rappers Cosculluela, Ivy Queen, and Arcángel as well as American rapper 6ix9ine. Raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he started recording music at age fourteen and began posting it online four years later in 2014, before eventually signing to the Latin division of fellow American rapper Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group. His 2016 mixtape Real Hasta la Muerte was well-received, but his success was put on hold the same year by a 30-month prison sentence for illegal firearm possession in Puerto Rico. He recorded the entirety of his debut album while incarcerated, during which time his genre of music surged in popularity.
Ángela Aguilar Álvarez Alcalá is a Mexican and American singer. She was born in Los Angeles while her mother was accompanying her father, Pepe Aguilar, on tour. Aguilar gained notable recognition after performing "La Llorona" at the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2018. Her paternal grandparents are the actors and singers from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre.
María Emilia Mernes, known mononymously as Emilia, is an Argentine singer, songwriter, model, and actress. She began her career as the lead vocalist of the Uruguayan cumbia pop band Rombai. After two years since joining, Mernes began to focus on her solo career.

Natanael Rubén Cano Monge is a Mexican rapper, musician and singer. Natanael is known for his fusion of trap music and regional Mexican corridos, known as corridos tumbados. The idea to fuse the two genres was proposed by Dan Sanchez who wrote Natanael's first corrido tumbado, "Soy el Diablo".

Kenia Guadalupe Flores Osuna, known professionally as Kenia Os, is a Mexican singer-songwriter and businesswoman. She began her career as a YouTube personality, uploading vlogs regularly. She uploaded her first video in 2015, joined a larger team of YouTubers, and in May 2018, Os resumed her career independently.
"Rumbatón" is a song by Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee and the lead single from his eighth and final studio album, Legendaddy. Described by him as "the album's flagship", the song was released on March 24, 2022, simultaneously with the record and alongside a music video directed by Dominican filmmaker Marlon Peña, which depics a newlywed couple joining a street party in Puerto Rico. It uses the chorus from the track "Báilame" (2006) by Puerto Rican duo Trébol Clan. It was written by Daddy Yankee, Dominican producer and Luny Tunes member Luny and Puerto Rican producers Eliel and Ovimael "OMB" Maldonado, while Puerto Rican rapper and lyricist Wise, producer DJ Joe and Trébol Clan members Periquito and Berto received songwriting credits for "Báilame". It was produced by Daddy Yankee and longtime collaborator Luny.

The ceremony took place at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the second year in a row. It was broadcast live on Univision. The ceremoy was hosted by Mexican singer Ángela Aguilar, Mexican TV host Alejandra Espinoza, Puerto Rican actress Dayanara Torres, and Brazilian actor Marcus Ornellas.
Joel Pimentel de León, known professionally as Joel DELEŌN, is a Mexican American singer. He was a member of the Latin boyband CNCO until his departure in May 2021. He released his debut solo single "La Culpa" in October of that year.
