Zach S. Staenberg, A.C.E. (born August 1951) is an American film editor best known for his work on action films and the Matrix Trilogy. Staenberg won an Academy Award and two ACE Eddie Award for the editing of The Matrix (1999) and for HBO's Gotti (1996) for which he was also nominated for an Emmy. The Matrix films were written and directed by the Wachowskis, with whom Staenberg has had an extended collaboration dating from 1996. He is a frequent collaborator of director Andrew Niccol.

Michael Kahn is an American film editor known for his frequent collaboration with Steven Spielberg. His first collaboration with Spielberg was for his 1977 film, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. He has edited all of Spielberg's subsequent films except for E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), which was edited by Carol Littleton. Kahn has received eight Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing, and has won three times—for Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Schindler's List (1993), and Saving Private Ryan (1998), which were all Spielberg-directed films.

Carol Sue Littleton, ACE is an American film editor. Her work includes Body Heat (1981), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), The Big Chill (1983), Places in the Heart (1984), Silverado (1985), The Accidental Tourist (1988), and Wyatt Earp (1994). She won the Primetime Emmy Award for the ABC movie Tuesdays with Morrie (1999). In January 2024, she received the Academy Honorary Award for her work.

Craig McKay is an American feature film editor, story consultant, director, and executive producer. Christopher Russell Rouse is an American film and television editor and screenwriter who has about a dozen feature-film credits and numerous television credits. Rouse won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, and the ACE Eddie Award for the film The Bourne Ultimatum (2007).

Gerald Bernard "Jerry" Greenberg was an American film editor with more than 40 feature film credits. Greenberg received both the Academy Award for Best Film Editing and the BAFTA Award for Best Editing for the film The French Connection (1971). In the 1980s, he edited five films with director Brian De Palma.

Christopher Greenbury was an English film editor with more than thirty film credits dating from 1979's The Muppet Movie. With Tariq Anwar, he won the BAFTA Award for Best Editing for American Beauty (1999), which he was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film Editing. Kim Roberts, A.C.E., is an American filmmaker who has worked primarily on documentaries as a film editor and writer. Roberts has a master's degree in documentary film production from Stanford University (1996). Her first credit as an editor was for Long Night's Journey into Day (2000), which was directed by Deborah Hoffmann and Frances Reid and that was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. She was credited as both an editor and writer for Great Wall Across the Yangtze (2000), which was directed by Ellen Perry. Her work since then and several of her honors are sketched in the filmography below. Roberts was featured in a New York Times article on film editing in 2012. She has been selected for membership in the American Cinema Editors, which entitles editors to append "A.C.E." to their film credits.
