The 2024 Missouri Secretary of State election will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect the secretary of state of the state of Missouri. It will coincide with the concurrent presidential election, as well as various state and local elections, including for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and governor of Missouri. The primaries will be held on August 6, 2024. [1]
Incumbent Republican Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft is retiring to run in the 2024 Missouri gubernatorial election, rather than run for reelection to a third term.

Shane Schoeller is an American politician, currently serving as the Greene County Clerk. He is a former Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives. Schoeller represented the 139th district, encompassing North Springfield and the communities of Walnut Grove, Fair Grove, and Willard in the northern half of Greene County. Schoeller also served as the Speaker Pro Tem of the House for the 96th General Assembly. On August 13, 2012, Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives Steven Tilley resigned. As Speaker Pro Tem, Schoeller held the office for one month until a replacement was named.

Caleb Rowden is an American musician, worship leader, and politician. He is a member of the Missouri State Senate for District 19, having served since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, Rowden previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2013 to 2017. In November 2018, Rowden was elected by his Republican colleagues to be the majority leader in the Missouri Senate's 2019 session. In October 2023, he announced his candidacy in the 2024 Missouri Secretary of State election.
