The 19th Screen Awards also 19th Annual Colors Screen Awards ceremony, presented by Indian Express Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2012. The ceremony was held on 12 January 2013 at MMRDA Grounds, Mumbai. [1] Hosted by Shahrukh Khan and co-hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana, Karan Johar and Vidya Balan. [2] [3]

Barfi! led the ceremony with 22 nominations, followed by Gangs of Wasseypur with 19 nominations and Kahaani with 15 nominations each.

Barfi! won 8 awards, including Best Director (for Anurag Basu) and Best Actor (for Ranbir Kapoor), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony.

Barfi! is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu, edited by Akiv Ali and produced by Ronnie Screwwala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under the production banner of UTV Motion Pictures. Released worldwide on 14 September 2012, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as the eponymous lead with Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz, while Saurabh Shukla, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jisshu Sengupta, Roopa Ganguly and Haradhan Bandopadhyay star in pivotal roles. Set in Darjeeling and Kolkata of the 1970s, the film is about Barfi (Kapoor), a deaf-mute young man based in Darjeeling, and his relationships with two lovely girls, the beautiful Shruti (D'Cruz), and the autistic Jhilmil (Chopra).

Barfi! is the soundtrack album for the 2012 Hindi film of the same name. The music and original score is composed by Pritam and featured lyrics written by Swanand Kirkire, Ashish Pandit, Neelesh Misra and Sayeed Quadri. The film is directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under UTV Motion Pictures, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. The film marks Pritam's third collaboration with Basu after Gangster (2006) and Life in a... Metro (2007). The album was under-development, when the film was in post-production stage and was completed only by early-August 2012. All the tracks in the film expresses the feelings of Kapoor's character.

The 14th Screen Awards also The Nokia 14th Annual Screen Awards ceremony, presented by Indian Express Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2007. The ceremony was held on 10 January 2008 at Bandra Kurla Complex Ground, Mumbai. Hosted by Sajid Khan, it was telecasted on 27 January 2008 on StarPlus.

The 13th Screen Awards also The Hero Honda 13th Annual Star Screen Awards ceremony, presented by Indian Express Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2006. The ceremony was held on 6 January 2007 at Bandra Kurla Complex Ground, Mumbai, hosted by Raju Srivastav and Navin Prabhakar. And it was telecasted on 14 January 2007, StarPlus.
