The 2002 WNBA season was the 3rd season for the Indiana Fever. The team, led by Tamika Catchings, went to the playoffs for the first time in team history, losing in the first round to the New York Liberty.

She has also been selected to ten WNBA All-Star teams, 12 All-WNBA teams, 12 All-Defensive teams and led the league in steals eight times. In 2011, Catchings was voted in by fans as one of the WNBA's Top 15 Players of All Time, and would be named to two more all-time WNBA teams, the WNBA Top 20@20 in 2016 and The W25 in 2021.

Tamecka Michelle Dixon is an American former professional basketball player. She played in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) from 1997 to 2009 for three different teams, was part of WNBA championship teams in 2001 and 2002, was a three-time WNBA All-Star and announced her retirement prior to the 2010 WNBA season.

The 2002 WNBA season was their fourth season and their last in Orlando. The Miracle missed out of the playoffs by losing in a tiebreaker to the Indiana Fever. It was also the final season in Orlando.

The 2012 WPSL Elite season was the only season of the WPSL Elite, an upper-level division of the WPSL, one of America's two semi-pro leagues. The 2016 WNBA season was the 20th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Its regular season began on May 14 when the Indiana Fever hosted the Dallas Wings and concluded on September 18, with a Seattle Storm defeat of the Chicago Sky.

The 2016 WNBA season is the 17th season for the Indiana Fever of the Women's National Basketball Association. The season tipped off on May 1. The Fever finished with a record of 17–17, third in the Eastern Conference and fifth overall. The Fever made the First Round of the 2016 WNBA Playoffs, losing to the Phoenix Mercury. It was the team's 13th appearance in the WNBA playoffs.

Vicki Hall is an assistant coach with the Indiana Fever since 2021. Before joining the WNBA team, Hall served as the head coach of the Indiana State Sycamores women's basketball team from 2018 to 2021. As a basketball player, Hall was the 1988 Naismith Prep Player of the Year and Gatorade High School Basketball Player of the Year after accumulating 1,755 points with Brebeuf High School. With the Texas Longhorns women's basketball team from 1988 to 1993, Hall reached the final eight of the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament between 1989 and 1990 and had 1,831 career points. Apart from college basketball, Hall won gold at the 1990 FIBA World Championship for Women and the 1990 Goodwill Games with the American women basketball team.

The 2022 Indiana Fever season is the franchise's 23rd season in the Women's National Basketball Association. The regular season tips off on May 6, 2022, at the Washington Mystics.
